Excerpt from Year Book of the Medical Association of the Greater City of New York The Medical Association of the Greater City of New York was incorporated April 5, 1899. The first meeting - the membership at this time consisting of the Incorporators - was held at the Waldorf-Astoria, Manhattan, April 12,1899, when the late S.B. Wylie McLeod, M. D., was elected Temporary Chairman. At a stated meeting of the Association held June 12, 1899, Dr. Austin Flint was elected the first President, to serve until the annual election in January, 1900. At the meeting of June 12, 1899, the first scientific communication was presented to the Association, by Dr. J. Herman Branth. (See p. 39.) The first permanent President, Dr. Robert F.
