When I was 4 I remember walking on paving stones: avoiding the cracks, living in the moment with a nice clear mind. Grandma looked after me while my mother worked. When I was 7 life changed when my mother married someone she hardly knew. I am taken to hell to live with them. I believe in hell. It was at Number 34. There was no grown-up to stop the deluge of abuse. A blanket is thrown over my mind and I hide under it. Worry and anxiety have seeped into my soul and there they stay. At sixteen I think I have been clever to get pregnant so I can marry and get away but I am trapped. I worry about what is happening with my half-sisters. At twenty my mind is not coping and I urgently need someone to help me but there is still no one to turn to. That's the day a visitor enters my kitchen and lets me see something beyond my wildest imagination. Can I tell you about it? Every word is true. Through my future life struggles I am told I can contact the visitor for help anytime. And I do. Often.

In Pursuit of Mister Right is a thought-provoking, non-traditional, outside-the-box approach to the dilemma women face in finding a good man. Whether it's the corporate executive or the 9-to-5 blue collar worker; whether it's from the pulpit or in the pew, women everywhere are asking the same question, "Where is my Mr. Right?" In this easy-to-read book, Pastor Ira Acree gives some interesting insight into this controversial subject that enquiring women want to know. This book thematically weaves inspiration, insight, and enrichment together in a practical way so women of all ages can benefit from their relationships. In this enlightening book, Reverend Acree draws from the depth of wisdom of ancient biblical queens and unlocks ageless secrets on how to recognize, captivate, and keep a man. For too long, women have been adversely affected by outdated religious traditions and erroneous scriptural interpretations that discourage them from pursuing their prospective mate. But now, the tables have been turned to accommodate today's assertive woman, who no longer wants to sit on the sidelines and wait for Mr. Right to come along.

Although Loyal Sisters is about Loyal Sisters it is not only for them. From ethnographic exploration into mainly two churches: Messa Pentecostal and High Parish, the religiosity and faith in the Triune God, through the Holy Spirit (pneumatology), of Loyal Sisters is realized. They are faithful and avid ecclesiastical worshipers amidst a tide of dwindling church-attendance. We can reflect on their faith-lifestyle and ontological passion for God which propels them into action in the British church. We discover their values and beliefs and how they transcend and redeem adversity and/or immigration, patriarchy, and racism, “come what may,” and seek for womanist, cultural, and religious change in the church through the Spirit. Furthermore, this book provides an insight into my autobiography/womanist testimonies as a British, Black, female practicing, ecumenical Christian who is an ally with Loyal Sisters. You do not have to be a Loyal Sister or identify as female of color to read this book. There is much we can learn from Loyal Sisters and about the British church which can enrich our understanding, epistemology, and/or spirituality as faith-believers or persons of no religious faith: whether we agree with all, some or none of their womanist spirituality.
