As the dust from the individual and team competitions settle, Kaboku, Wanda, and Iori will have to look back and see how far they've come in order to take their dancing to new heights… Kabeya and Iori set out to finish what they've started on the dance floor, and, in the course of their showdown, end up learning more about each other-and themselves-than they ever thought possible. Even after the winner of the battle is decided, though, the night's not over. There's still the team contest, and it's going to take everything-and everyone-Ichirin's got to face down the competition. Then, after Wanda receives a startling offer that could help launch her dance career, Kaboku finds himself struggling between his awe for her and his jealousy-a feeling he'll have to cope with lest it threaten their friendship. How did Wanda get where she is, though? And what-or who-pushed her to reach for those heights?
Kaboku and Wanda shift from the practice room to the dance floor as their first dance contest approaches, and the competition is white-hot—both on and off the dance floor! The moment has come for Kabo and Wanda’s first dance competition. They’ve worked hard and prepared well, but they’ll have to face the best from other schools if they hope to emerge victorious. No matter what happens, there will be lessons they can learn and ways they can improve their dancing, if they’re willing to find them. But that’s not the only kind of competition going down. When Kabo walks into club one day to discover a completely unexpected showdown in progress, the only thing that will surprise him more than who’s having the dance battle is who takes up the gauntlet next!
Kabo and Kabe face down Zara for victory in their battle competition. They both dig deep, but do they have what it takes to come out on top? Then, with the battle and the showcase over, Kabo's attention shifts to the dance arena contest, where Ichirin will have another chance at making their mark on the national stage-but only if they can get through the regional prelims first. It's almost time to pick the team for the Dance Arena contest, but Kabo finds his heart is elsewhere. He ruminates on a surprising suggestion from Iori, but even as Kabo tries to figure out what he really wants from dance, the qualifying round draws closer, and he might not have time to polish his routine-even if he realizes he'd like to be a part of it. Ichirin isn't the only school with their eye on this contest, either-formidable dancers from around the country are getting ready for a showdown that might just propel some of them to new heights!
Whether good or bad, the spotlight shows all. It's time for Kabo and Ichirin to take the stage at the Dance Area regionals-but are they ready? Will Ichirin stand as one, or will the other teams-and their own doubts-pick them apart? Kabo is at the Dance Arena regional prelims, but he's not in them, and it hurts when he realizes he wishes he were. If he wants to be on the stage, he'll have to prove he belongs there, to both himself and his fellow dancers. Wanda comes up with a uniquely Wanda way of encouraging him-and whether she knows it or not, she might just help On-chan, too. Speaking of On-chan, being the president of a dance club comes with a lot of pressure, and On-chan is struggling to come up with a solution that will satisfy all her teammates. But is that even possible? Her answers to those questions might surprise even her, and may even chart a path forward for Ichirin. But first, the club will have to cross its biggest hurdle yet-and cope with some of the toughest competition it's ever faced!
Seeing how Yakumo's earnest success has led to financial wealth, Yuya suddenly feels like he wants to try being an idol. With this realization, Asahi wants to help Yuya attain “idol enlightenment.” But before that can happen, Niyodo's mom appears on the scene, and she has some sort of connection with Shinano…?
Kaboku is settling in at the dance club—in fact, he’s doing so well that he’s one of the few first-years chosen to be on the squad that will dance in an upcoming competition. Hikari’s on the team too, but as they get down to some serious practice, they find themselves confronted by a classmate who didn’t make the cut and wants to know why. In fact, Kaboku isn’t sure he belongs on the team, considering his reluctance to dance in front of an audience. And a chance encounter with the only other male member of the club, Iori Itsukushima, further shakes his confidence. Kaboku thought he was starting strong, but these blows to his morale have him wondering: What does it really mean to dance well? And what does it really mean to dance together?
With their respective worries now set aside, Yori and Himari are feeling more confident about their relationship than ever before, and can finally look forward to the upcoming battle of the bands at their school's culture fest. But while the two girls may be secure in their own relationship, old scars from the past continue to tug on the hearts of their fellow bandmates... Newly confident in their feelings for each other, Himari and Yori are able to tackle their roles in their respective bands with fresh enthusiasm. Himari even convinces Yori to write a new song for SSGIRLS' school culture festival performance, and this time, it's going to be a group effort. This song will belong to the whole band, and they eagerly discover the ideas each of them has to contribute to its creation. Meanwhile, the members of Laureley have begun to open up to Himari and end up taking her on an unexpected day trip, where she learns some crucial details about the band's past. But there's one more secret she doesn't know yet-one that will put Yori center stage in this emotional drama...
Kaboku and Wanda take the dance floor in their own respective dance battles, and they soon learn that competition and cooperation are both just ways of sharing what's in your heart… Kaboku and Kabeya show up for their B-Boy battle, where figuring out a team name is only the first of their problems. They soon find themselves running into old friends, old antagonists-and at least one fearsome dancer who seems to have it out for Kabeya… If he and Kaboku are going to make it to the top of the contest, they'll have to figure out how to understand each other on the fly, or they might just get buried in the first round! Meanwhile, in Tokyo, Wanda is turning heads at Assay's showcase practice, and earning more than a little jealousy along the way. But when her fellow dancers see how devoted she is to her craft, they begin to open up to her, and new friendships seem like they could start to bloom…
Kaboku tries to break further out of his shell with some new dance styles, and he can't help but wonder: How do you dance like nobody's watching when everyone's watching? Kaboku's growing confidence as a dancer and his deepening friendship with Iori inspire him to branch out and try breakdancing. He and Wanda head for the park where the local B-Boys practice, and they seem to make a real impression. Gaku Kabeya is the one breaker who seems above it all, and if he acts a little arrogant, maybe it's because he's really, really good at what he does. He thinks Kabo has what it takes to be a great breakdancer, but will Kabeya's history with Iori get in the way of the two of them being friends? And speaking of Iori, On keeps pushing him to be the next club president, but he's convinced he doesn't have the chops. Will a chance to share what he knows with some other students help change his mind?
Wanda, Kaboku, and Iori return to the dance floor in a series of one-on-one battles in their latest dance competition. Can they stay true to themselves, and their moves, or will they buckle under the pressure? The dance competition continues, with Wanda squaring off against a young man who tries to taunt her into making a mistake. She manages to stand her ground, and the sight of Wanda dancing once again sparks something inside of Kabo that cements how he feels about dancing-and Wanda. As he faces his own insecurities in the contest, Kabo comes to a realization about how he needs to approach his dancing. Will it be enough to save him from defeat at the hands (and feet, and arms, and whirling torsos…) of more experienced dancers? And he's not the only one who has some soul-searching to do-after being pitted against a talented friend, Iori will have to dig deep and find a style that's uniquely his own if he wants to step and prove that he has what it takes to challenge Assay…
