The Book of Joshua chapters 13 - 24 provides information about Joshua and Israel's inheritance in the Promised Land of Canaan. It includes details about the inheritance for Reuben, Gad, and half the tribe of Manasseh on the east side of the Jordan river; plus inheritance for Judah, the rest of Manasseh, Ephraim, Benjamin, Simeon, Zebulun, Issachar, Asher, Naphtali, and Dan on the west side of the Jordan river. In addition, it provides information on the cities for refuge, cities for the Levites, the covenant with the descendants of Israel, and the death of Joshua. This book includes verses translated from the Greek old covenant writing, sometimes referred to as the Septuagint. Additionally, some comparisons to the Hebrew text are provided.
