This volume contains the papers presented at the 15th Technical Meeting of the World Occam and Transputer User Group (WOTUG-15), offering a representation of current work being undertaken in the transputer field. Two invited papers outline the development of systems architecture and programming environments which aim to make the power of the next generation transputers readily available.
The contributed chapters to this volume provide a broad coverage of the areas of research in current parallel computing: architectures, languages and tools, graphics and fault tolerance. Additionally, the Inmos approach to building an asynchronous transfer mode system and the University of Twente method for designing system-level embedded controllers are featured in this work.
This work comprises the proceedings of the Transputer Research and Applications Conference held in Georgia from October 23rd to October 25th, 1994. The conference is sponsored by the North American Transputer Users Group (NATUG).
