Little boys can be such a mystery, so sweet and such a joy to watch grow up. Towhead lives on a farm. He has no children his own age to spend time with. He loves his pets and gets really excited when his mother rabbit has more babies. His goat named Nosy is always getting him into trouble with Mom because the goat wont stay out of her garden. His best friend and companion is his dog, Sami. He would be lost without Sami. This story shows the love that can exist between a boy and his dog. Towhead is raised in a loving Christian family. This could be a true story as I think back to the things my children got into at this age. He loves his mother dearly and feels neglected when she is busy with spring cleaning and doesnt have time for him. When he gets into trouble and realizes what he has done because of his rejection, it makes him realize he is misbehaving. Perhaps this is the beginning of Towhead growing up.
Little boys can be such a mystery to grow up, and a great joy to watch. Towhead lives on the farm with his dad and mother. They have no other children to play with. His best friend is his dog Sammy. Between the two of them and the goats and the rabbits they could find enough mischief to get into. And everyone is good before Christmas. This story is about the love of a boy and his dog and his parent. Sometimes mischief can make one grow up and realize that you are loved even if you’re yelled at sometimes.
This Way to Christmas is a tale about a young boy David whose parents go on a trip and leave him in the care of an Irish couple, Joanna and Barney. In each chapter David listens to a new Christmas story or folk tale, learning more and more about the magic of Christmas, and its tradition and customs.
A lonely boy in snowy hill country at Christmas meets a "locked-out fairy" who introduces him to equally lonely neighbors and each tells him a unique story of the Christmas season.
