About AuthorsArthur Henry Mee was born on 21st July 1875 and died on 27th May 1943. He was a British writer, journalist and educator. His famous works includes: The Harmsworth Self-Educator, The Children's Encyclopædia, The Children's Newspaper, and The King's England. Sir John Alexander Hammertonwas born on 27th February 1871 and died on 12th May 1949. He is famous for Harmsworth's Universal Encyclopædiaand great contribution to Mee's Children's Encyclopædia.
