Israel was not prepared for the first appearance of the Messiah. Yet Israel had esteemed religious leaders, the Pharisees, Sadducees, and an awesome Temple. Likely they felt they were ready to welcome the Messiah.Today members of the church sound like they are ready for the next appearance of Christ, when He comes to rapture the church. But it would be prudent to consider that we could also be making a tragic mistake.Jesus said "Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. (Matthew 24:42-43 NIV)Jesus said that if we are not ready when the rapture occurs, there will be consequences. We will feel robbed - as if struck by a thief who comes in the night.? The last time Christ appeared - His people were not prepared, and Christ suffered.? When Christ comes to rapture the church - many of His people will not be prepared.? But this time - it will be the unprepared believer who will suffer.? Christ will be coming with power and great glory.Jesus warned us to keep watch - you need to understand why!
The Rapture of the Bride of Christ is the next event scheduled inside the plan of God which was spoken into existence complete from beginning to end in a "moment" before time. With its occurrence the Church Age will come to its conclusion and the final chapter of the history of the world will begin with The Great Tribulation. All who have failed to heed the warnings clearly stated by the Word of God that would have pointed each to an escape of this gruesome period of history, will be engulfed by the horrors it will bring. Deceit, betrayal and perversion will be the norm. No one will be safe or can be trusted. Once entered, the only available exit will be through the passageway of physical death which will be so common as to not be a second thought on the mind of a twisted and bloodthirsty world. "Bro. Chip", during his adolescence, became fascinated by the intricate detail emerging and revealing itself from the scripture. He became captivated by the depth of which God's message existed just beneath the surface text within the Word of God written to his mirror image creation, man. Already addicted to the study of God's Word in regards to the Return of Jesus Christ (Rapture/Second Coming) he was enveloped by the merger of these multiple studies into a single work and recognized a pattern which presented itself within the structure of those teachings. Spurred by a love for sharing what was perceived by him as the knowledge of the truth as presented by the writers of God's Word while under direct inspiration of the Holy Spirit of God, this publication documents those findings. The conclusions presented here are the results of his thirty-three year study and stand in declaration of these truths.
The final book of the Bible, Revelation prophesies the ultimate judgement of mankind in a series of allegorical visions, grisly images and numerological predictions. According to these, empires will fall, the "Beast" will be destroyed and Christ will rule a new Jerusalem. With an introduction by Will Self.
Analyzes what Jesus said about when he would return and the last days would arrive (as in Matthew 24:34). Defends the trustworthiness of Jesus' teachings.
This re-edition of the classic examines four views of the church's role in the tribulation: partial rapturism, pre-tribulationism, mid-tribulationism, and post-tribulationism, with special emphasis on the debate between pre-tribulationism and post-tribulationism. Bibliography and index are included.
An authoritative biblical critique of the recent pre-wrath rapture theory popularized by Rosenthal and Van Kampen.
Many Christians think of end times prophecy as a gigantic, intimidating puzzle -- difficult to piece together and impossible to figure out. But every puzzle can be solved if you approach it the right way. Paul Benware compares prophecy to a picture puzzle. Putting the edge pieces together first builds the 'framework' that makes it easier to fit the other pieces in their place. According to Benware, the framework for eschatology is the biblical covenants. He begins his comprehensive survey by explaining the major covenants. Then he discusses several different interpretations of end times prophecy. Benware digs into the details of the Rapture, the Great Tribulation, the judgements and resurrections, and the millennial kingdom. But he also adds a unique, personal element to the study, answering questions as: -Why study bible prophecy? -What difference does it make if I'm premillenial or amillenial? If what the Bible says about the future puzzles you, Understanding End Times Prophecy will help you put together the pieces and see the big picture.
This book introduces the reader to Robert Govett (1813-1901), dissenting clergyman and author, who wrote as a scholar of biblical prophecy, primarily on the subject of the "exclusion" of believers in the Millennial Kingdom, an idea of which he conceived. The purpose of the book is threefold: (1) to describe Govett, his life, and his printed work; (2) to analyze Govett's eschatological beliefs, especially those he originated; and (3) to investigate why a respected theologian in England, who had published over 180 books and tracts, disappeared from dissenting print culture early in the twentieth century. Govett's doctrine of exclusion was heavily intertwined with most of his writings. It was a topic that he developed throughout his career. Yet, as the center of dispensationalism shifted to America, Govett's views of the Rapture began to be seen as extreme. The book explains why Govett was eclipsed as the center of the evangelical movement shifted and its theology ossified. Since his death, Govett has been occasionally remembered in scholarship, but with increasing inaccuracies and skepticism. This book seeks to remove the mystery.
