Not every lie sounds untrue. Some lies are repeated so often they seem to be common sense. That's why lies about God are so dangerous. The Gospel According to Satan examines eight lies the enemy wants us to believe and provides eight lines of counterattack against them. The lies include: God just wants you to be happy; you only live once you need to live your truth; and just let go and let God. Jared C. Wilson reveals why these lies appeal to us, shows how they harm us, and provides ways to counteract them. We can renounce Satan's counterfeit gospel, but first we must see it for what it is. "Enumerates the major ways the Devil uses his cunning and calculating ways of luring us off the narrow road of God's grace. We will all do well to read this book and confront the lies we are being sold."--Kyle Idleman, senior pastor of Southeast Christian Church and author of Not a Fan and Don’t Give Up "A unique, compelling, and even witty look at the devil's current greatest hits--lies we urgently need to unmask." --Sam Allberry, speaker for Ravi Zacharias International Ministries and author of 7 Myths About Singleness and Why Does God Care Who I Sleep With? "One of the most thought-provoking writers in the Christian world today... He doesn’t just describe the tantalizing falsehoods of our age, he exposes how they've slithered into our hearts."--Matt Smethurst, managing editor at The Gospel Coalition and author of Before You Open Your Bible
The Gospel of Lucifer Lucifer, to escape the cold of a northern New Mexico winter, steps into an old adobe church, intruding on a baptism. By insinuating himself into the boy's and sponsors' lives, Dr. Luke Ferrer becomes Adám's tutor, though it is unclear whose education is being undertaken. The Prince of Darkness, intent on instructing a new race of human beings loyal to him, is confounded to learn that his protégé "does not like girls in that way." Adam likes boys, especially his mejor amigo. This is but the first of many challenges and obstacles Lucifer must face and overcome. Adam and Iver join an age-old underground organization whose goals are directly opposed to those espoused by Lucifer. Though the boyhood chums accede nothing to him, Lucifer does not abandon hope that he will one day win them over to his side. During a cross-country trip in the friends' rusty Outback, the devil disguises himself as a mouse and other creatures in order to spy on them and learn what he can about the rebel group The Not Named. Replete with humor and insight, The Gospel of Lucifer encourages us to face our shadows and acknowledge those aspects of ourselves we would rather banish.
'From humble beginnings as a private investigator in the Heavenly Court, Satan worked his way up the career ladder to become God's Chief Prosecutor. It wasn't long before he branched off and started his own global enterprise as Prince of The World. 'The Gospel of The Fallen Angel' is Satan's exclusive, honest account of the life and times of his greatest adversary, Jesus of Galilee.' When Jesus walked on earth he gave strict orders not to let anyone know who he was. My minions couldn't help themselves. They kept blurting it out! I had better self control. Until now! After 2000 years, I've finally broken my silence. Not bad going for the archetypal disobedient one! Satan Geraint's The Gospel of The Fallen Angel is a first to tell the story of Jesus from Satan's perspective. He tells the story of the real Jewish Jesus, not the fictitious Christ of the Christian church. A highly original, clever, often funny, alternative view of the Gospels. It has a lot to say about traditional Christianity that is interesting and uncomfortable. Its appeal is its modern message about what it means to be human, whether one is religious or not.
I saw Jesus on the cross, and all of heaven was motionless. I could see legions of angels just waiting near the cross. Then, as I looked upon the cross, I couldn't bear to look at what I was seeing, for it was extremely sad. The last time I saw Jesus, it was a picture of absolute splendor, majesty, and glory when He came forth from His Father. But now to look at Him was almost impossible, for He looked nothing like He did earlier ... Just then, my attention was taken back down into hell. Every demon was in a state of frenzy and hysteria. They were acting and behaving like wild beasts, animals. You could see some type of disgusting foam coming from their mouths. It was repulsive. They were all yelling "It's over! It's over!" You could see they were anticipating Jesus' arrival. Satan had this disturbed, distorted, indescribable look on his face as he had conquered all the universe. He looked like he knew he was finally able to affect God and that he wouldn't be able to recover.
Lucifer's name is mentioned only once in scripture, yet, he remains a powerful evil influence over the world. This has been the case from the time of Adam and Eve to today and will remain so until final judgment is executed upon the Earth. What is Lucifer's ultimate goal? How can we fight such a daunting adversary when angels themselves, with their supernatural strength, dare not contend with him? Furthermore, since the Bible tells us that Lucifer is the god of this world, what kind of merchandise does he use in tempting us to sin? The scripture is clear in its description of who he is and what he intends. Being the fallible beings that we are, how can we resist the evil temptations that can draw us away from the True God of heaven who is the Creator of all things? It is God. Who separated the light from the darkness, according to Genesis chapter one, and it is He who separates good and evil through His living Word, Jesus Christ; therefore, it's in Him alone that we have hope and salvation, not in Lucifer, nor in ourselves. This work is intended to reveal who Lucifer, our great adversary, really is, his attributes, merchandise, and his goals. But, foremost, through this work, the true King of Kings and Lord of Lords will also be revealed.
This series explains in detail the attempt of a rebellious cherub to overthrow God Almighty. The text answers questions about how sin originated in Lucifer, what happened before the fall, and more. (Practical Life)
