Excerpt from The Journal of Cutaneous Diseases Including Syphilis, Vol. 26: January, 1908 In Berck's Maritime Hospital, we examined 153 children taken at random, '71 boys and 82 girls. Among those, we found 80 (10 boys and 20 girls) presenting all the features of heredo - syphilis. Ten were under treatment for Pott's disease, 15 for unilateral, either right or left, hip disease, 1 for double hip disease, 1 for white swelling of the elbow, 2 for white swelling of the wrist, and 2 for suppurative cervical adenitis.
