The Vipond Park surface, a high, relatively flat upland surface believed to have been formed in late Tertiary or early Pleistocene time developed after faulting had ceased. Present drainage of the area is largely structurally controlled. During the Pleistocene, glaciers were present in both Canyon and Sheep Creeks.
