Why This Book In the late 1980's I started Ministering at different Men Jails and Prisons in California. This particular time as I was getting ready to go to my assigned Pod, there were Deputies bringing in Men shackles by their hands and feet; one of the Men looked at me and said we need prater too. I always wanted to go into the Pod where the gangs were, but they never allow me. My Hear would cry for them because they would allow gang members to be in the same cells and you could actually feel the tension. I ministered at Chuckawalla and Ironwood Prison in Blyte CA; Donovan Prison which is in San Diego, CA. The talent and gifts that were in the Jails and Prisons blew my mind because all these gifts and talents were locked up. The Devils Wimp was born in 1989, and the Lord bless me to preach it in the prisons and jails. Let's Get to Eden was born in 2010. I was visiting this church in Rialto CA and they sang the song Let's Get Back to Eden living on top of this world. And in January 2011, the Lord blessed me to have Men's Conference "Let's Get Back to Eden because You're Up Front On Top and In Charge" was the theme. In 2016 was when the Lord out the titles together and He wanted it in book form, so here it is. Truly just seeing the miraculous hand of God's work in the lives of Men, the transformation is awesome. Why the book, because men are hurting wanting to be delivered and set free. They really don't like themselves the way they are, but they have so much pride and would rather stay that way until they are urged by God that they need to be delivered. When God sets them up and touch their heart truly they are ready to get rid of the pride and every chain that is keeping them in bondage and want to be free. Just seeing them crying and crawling on the floor trying to get to the altar, and God meeting them there at the altar is life changing not just for them but for us also. Just seeing the new creation bloom. There was one time I was having a Men's fellowship in my one-bedroom apartment. I didn't' think it was going to be that man men there. It was fifty men and they were in the balcony, living room, dining room and in the kitchen and they were like sardines. I forgot the message that God has given me but man oh man, oh man it was truly a set up by God. Afterwards, (I always was the only there) I would have a couple of ladies that would help me serve food. When they walked in they were shocked and guess what my Brothers in Christ cleaned up and put everything back in order. Why the book, just like us ladies men have been mistreated, rejected, betrayed, bruised, abused and the list goes on and on, so have they. And God wants His men to be encouraged and strengthened, Delivered and set free so they could be the Real Men, husbands, father's, uncles, grandfathers, and brothers' that God ha call them to be. My prayer is that every make would allow The Man (Jesus Christ) into their lives, so He could teach them how to take their Rightful place in this world and take dominion (rule) over everything God has given them, they way it was in Eden ( the garden of delight)....
“Kotsko goes beyond the biography of an icon to a provocative investigation of the devil’s many lives and effects in cultural and political ideologies.” —Laurel C. Schneider, author of Beyond Monotheism The most enduring challenge to traditional monotheism is the problem of evil, which attempts to reconcile three incompatible propositions: God is all-good, God is all-powerful, and evil happens. The Prince of This World traces the story of one of the most influential attempts to square this circle: the offloading of responsibility for evil onto one of God’s rebellious creatures. In this striking reexamination, the devil’s story is bitterly ironic, full of tragic reversals. He emerges as a theological symbol who helps oppressed communities cope with the trauma of unjust persecution, torture, and death at the hands of political authorities and eventually becomes a vehicle to justify oppression at the hands of Christian rulers. And he evolves alongside the biblical God, who at first presents himself as the liberator of the oppressed but ends up a cruel ruler who delights in the infliction of suffering on his friends and enemies alike. In other words, this is the story of how God becomes the devil—a devil who remains with us in our ostensibly secular age. “This diabolically gripping genealogy offers a stunning parable of western politics religious and secular. It tracks as has never been done before the dramatic shifts of the relation between God and the Devil—conflict, rivalry, game of mirrors, fusion. With the ironic wisdom of a postmodern Beatrice, Kotsko guides us through the sequence of hells that leads to our own.” —Catherine Keller, author of On the Mystery: Discerning Divinity in Process
What it means to be a man or a woman is questioned today like never before. While traditional gender roles have been eroding for decades, now the very categories of male and female are being discarded with reckless abandon. How does one act like a gentleman in such confusing times? The Catholic Gentleman is a solid and practical guide to virtuous manhood. It turns to the timeless wisdom of the Catholic Church to answer the important questions men are currently asking. In short, easy- to-read chapters, the author offers pithy insights on a variety of topics, including • How to know you are an authentic man • Why our bodies matter • The value of tradition • The purpose of courtesy • What real holiness is and how to achieve it • How to deal with failure in the spiritual life
God's Chosen: Understanding Spiritual Warfare is a book that inspires, encourages and teaches Christians to effectively manage warfare and live victoriously for Christ. It offers Christians a fresh look at the basis of putting on God's full armor and learning to use the means God affords, namely His strength and mighty power. As Believers prepare to fight triumphantly against evil and wicked forces, we come to an understanding of the challenge, purpose and outcome of spiritual warfare. Putting on God's armor and standing firm in Him, amply equips us to fight offensively and defensively. Knowing Jesus fixed the fight in our favor produces confidence to oppose the enemy and remain faithful to God. Through conscious engagement in this fight we win against all odds. In 2005, during prayer, the Holy Spirit inspired me to write this book on spiritual warfare. I was going through a precarious time and as usual, I sought God in prayer and study of the Word. The Holy Spirit led me to Ephesians 6:10-18. As I studied and meditated, God moved me to begin writing on the subject of warfare. During research and study, I discovered there are not enough books addressing this phase of our journey. Therefore, I saw the need to press through varied attacks to produce this important work.

A revolutionary, introductory text for courses on modern logic. While the basic rudiments of formal and informal logical are all clearly described here, it also focuses students on the real world, where the discipline of logic adds substance and meaning to all kinds of human discourse. Everything from puzzles, paradoxes, and mathematical proofs, to campaign debate excerpts, government regulations, and cartoons are used to show how logic is put to work by philosophers, mathematicians, advertisers, computer scientists, politicians, and others. As the book alternately discusses, instructs, questions, teases, and challenges, readers will find themselves absorbing the fundamentals of the discipline, becoming fluent in the language of logic, understanding how logic works in the real world, and enjoying logic's ability to entertain, surprise, subvert, and enlighten.
This is the extended and annotated edition including * an extensive biographical annotation about the author and his life The Sermons of St. Augustine, besides their other excellencies, furnish a beautiful picture of perhaps the deepest and most powerful mind of the Western Church adapting itself to the little ones of Christ. In them, he who has furnished the mould for all the most thoughtful minds for fourteen hundred years, is seen forming with loving tenderness the babes in Christ. Very touching is the child-like simplicity, with which he gradually leads them through what to them were difficulties, watching all the while whether he made himself clear to them, keeping up their attention, pleased at their understanding, dreading their approbation, and leading them off from himself to some practical result. Very touching the tenderness with which he at times reproves, the allowance which he makes for human infirmities and for those in secular life, if they will not make their infirmities their boast, or in allowed duties and indulgences forget God. But his very simplicity precludes the necessity of any preface. His Sermons explain themselves. They appear from a passage in the Commentary on the Psalms to have been often taken down in writing at the time by the more attentive sort of hearers (as were those of St. Chrysostom); Possidius states that this was done from the commencement of his presbyterate, and that “thence through the body of Africa, excellent doctrine and the most sweet savour of Christ was diffused and made manifest, the Church of God beyond seas, when it heard thereof, partaking of the joy.”
