Edward Eanes (d.1757) lived in Henrico (later Chesterfield) County, Virginia and was a member of the Bristol Parish of the Church of England. He was probably of English ancestry, and possibly of French ancestry, and conceivably could have been an immigrant. The original surname could have been Yeans or Yanes, by the spellings in the Bristol parish register. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, South Caorlina, Alabama and elsewhere.
