During the full moon night, the Swamp Monster takes their bait, and the net they set for him, catches them instead. The brothers realize the Honey Island Swamp Monster is very hairy, but not so scary and they decide he's better left alone in the wilderness. When their parents finally track them down and get them out of the net, the punish their boys for not getting permission to go in the first place. In the end, all is good and the brothers never tell the outside world about their new Swamp Monster friend.
