Regarded by many as B. Traven's finest novel, The Bridge in the Jungle is a tale of a simple, desperately poor people coming together in the face of a death that affects them all. The locale is "huts by the river", a nameless Indian settlement deep in the Mexican bush, too small to appear on any map. A festive gathering that has attracted many Indians from neighboring settlements is about to begin, when death marches silently in. A small boy has disappeared. As the intimation of tragedy spreads among the people gathered in the jungle clearing, they unite, first to find the lost boy and then to console the grieving mother. Traven never allows an iota of sentimentality to enter his story, but the reader finishes The Bridge in the Jungle with renewed faith in the courage and dignity of human beings.

Little Dinosaur and monkey get lost in the jungle.
A simple story of Indian Mexican people thru the eyes of a Gringo who was with them for 3 days. They come together in heart and soul as they face the death of a young boy. As news travels during the same night as the tragedy, throughout the jungle settlements, many Indians arrive to console the grieving mother. The community unites in a way that the so-called advanced societies can never achieve. It is a philosophic story rather than political as are most of Trven's novel - to a point. "The Bidge in The Jungle" is regarded by many to be his finest novel. The reader finishes this story with renewed faith and the courage and dignity of human beings. A Collector's Edition.
Case officer Victor Caro is back, and he's brought the whole family along this time. On assignment in South America with his wife and young son, Victor must break up an alliance between one country's charismatic autocrat and a narco-trafficking revolutionary group in the country next door. As the group's support for the increasingly dictatorial leader grows, Victor enlists the help of a colorful group of CYA colleagues, along with his own family, to neutralize the threat. As they manage sources in the Amazon and diktats from Washington, Victor and his team witness how populism can drive a wealthy country into an unstoppable downward spiral. It's a jungle out there, but it will make for one hell of an adventure.
