(Version 3.5, August, 2020) Now with important new information and insights. Michael D. Fortner takes a fresh new look at Bible prophecy and presents strong evidence that the coming beast and false prophet of the book of Revelation are based solidly in Islam and Muhammad. When the head of the beast has a fatal wound, it represents the death of the Ottoman Empire in World War 1. Which means it will come back to life again to wage jihad upon the world. The second beast of Revelation is Islam, the two horns representing the two factions: Sunni and Shite. Islam has encoded in its teachings- murder, lying, plunder, slavery, rape, warfare, and even terrorism as part of its official religious doctrine. Jesus said that the thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy, and this is exactly what Islam has done from its beginning. No other religion so completely fits the description in the Bible of the beast and false prophet than Islam. Islam is different from all the other religions that do not believe in Jesus, because Islam officially declares that Jesus is not the Son of God (Quran 4:171; 18:4-5), which is the Biblical definition of Antichrist: "Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the Antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son" (1 John 2:22). Islam ruled the second largest empire in history that stretched from the Atlantic Ocean to the borders of China. Millions of Christians have already suffered and died under Islam's armies of conquest, and Christians are still dying today in Egypt, Iraq, Syria, Nigeria, Sudan, and many other places. The spread of Islam has left a trail of blood, suffering, and destruction like no other ideology in world history. This book includes a history of Islam's war on Christianity. No one could invent a more evil cult. For hundreds of years the Muslims of North Africa captured European ships, and then American ships, and enslaved the passengers and crews. They even raided coastal towns and dragged people out of churches and into slavery where they were beaten and abused in order to pressure them to convert to Islam. This new book presents the history of Islam's war against Christianity to show how and why it is the beast of Revelation. It also includes Daniel 11. The details presented is like no other book.
The final book of the Bible, Revelation prophesies the ultimate judgement of mankind in a series of allegorical visions, grisly images and numerological predictions. According to these, empires will fall, the "Beast" will be destroyed and Christ will rule a new Jerusalem. With an introduction by Will Self.
Many Christians think of end times prophecy as a gigantic, intimidating puzzle -- difficult to piece together and impossible to figure out. But every puzzle can be solved if you approach it the right way. Paul Benware compares prophecy to a picture puzzle. Putting the edge pieces together first builds the 'framework' that makes it easier to fit the other pieces in their place. According to Benware, the framework for eschatology is the biblical covenants. He begins his comprehensive survey by explaining the major covenants. Then he discusses several different interpretations of end times prophecy. Benware digs into the details of the Rapture, the Great Tribulation, the judgements and resurrections, and the millennial kingdom. But he also adds a unique, personal element to the study, answering questions as: -Why study bible prophecy? -What difference does it make if I'm premillenial or amillenial? If what the Bible says about the future puzzles you, Understanding End Times Prophecy will help you put together the pieces and see the big picture.
A startling exploration of the history of the most controversial book of the Bible, by the bestselling author of Beyond Belief. Through the bestselling books of Elaine Pagels, thousands of readers have come to know and treasure the suppressed biblical texts known as the Gnostic Gospels. As one of the world's foremost religion scholars, she has been a pioneer in interpreting these books and illuminating their place in the early history of Christianity. Her new book, however, tackles a text that is firmly, dramatically within the New Testament canon: The Book of Revelation, the surreal apocalyptic vision of the end of the world . . . or is it? In this startling and timely book, Pagels returns The Book of Revelation to its historical origin, written as its author John of Patmos took aim at the Roman Empire after what is now known as "the Jewish War," in 66 CE. Militant Jews in Jerusalem, fired with religious fervor, waged an all-out war against Rome's occupation of Judea and their defeat resulted in the desecration of Jerusalem and its Great Temple. Pagels persuasively interprets Revelation as a scathing attack on the decadence of Rome. Soon after, however, a new sect known as "Christians" seized on John's text as a weapon against heresy and infidels of all kinds-Jews, even Christians who dissented from their increasingly rigid doctrines and hierarchies. In a time when global religious violence surges, Revelations explores how often those in power throughout history have sought to force "God's enemies" to submit or be killed. It is sure to appeal to Pagels's committed readers and bring her a whole new audience who want to understand the roots of dissent, violence, and division in the world's religions, and to appreciate the lasting appeal of this extraordinary text.
Are you missing half the story about the last days? Virtually all attention these days is focused on the coming Antichrist—but he is only half the story. Many people are amazed to discover in Revelation 17 that there is also another mysterious character at the heart of prophecy—a woman who rides the beast. Who is this woman? Tradition says she is connected with the church of Rome. But isn’t such a view outdated? After all, today’s Vatican is eager to join hands with Protestants worldwide. “The Catholic church has changed” is what we hear. Or has it? In A Woman Rides the Beast, prophecy expert Dave Hunt sifts through biblical truth and global events to present a well-defined portrait of the woman and her powerful place in the Antichrist’s future empire. Eight remarkable clues in Revelation 17 and 18 prove the woman’s identity beyond any reasonable doubt. A provocative account of what the Bible tells us is to come.
No one can deny that the world is in trouble. Tragedy stalks our streets. Violence and bloodshed fill the news. How do we explain so much chaos? Is there any hope for peace in our time? Dr. David Jeremiah's dramatic narrative on the Book of Revelation answers these and many more challenging questions, by unraveling the imagery and explaining the significance of the events described in the last book of the Bible. Within its pages are the hope and encouragement we need to lift us from the gloom of present events to the promise of a brilliant future.
A careful historical and exegetical study of the Beast of Revelation as found in the Book of Revelation. It identifies the Beast as the Roman emperor Nero Caesar, the first persecutor of the Christian church in AD 64. The book also delves into the question of the date of the writing of Revelation, arguing that it was written by John the Apostle around AD 65 or 66.
Whereas most students of the Bible have long held that some form of humanism or universalist religion would catapult the Antichrist to world power, this book systematically proves the biblical case for an Islamic Antichrist.
This book was originally published in 2013 under the title Discoveries in Bible Prophecy, with slight updates every couple of years. But with the latest discovery, the author has decided to republish the book, because now there is significant evidence that there will in fact be TWO Raptures. One is just before the 7th Trumpet, and the second is before the 7th Bowl of Wrath, making the Raptures mid-trib and also pre-wrath. Fortner is not the first person to teach two Raptures, but the details are different. This is a whole new interpretation of Bible prophecy. It shows the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse have already ridden out during the past 2,000 years of wars, famine, and persecution. The author does not merely make that assumption, he analyzes the text to show what the four horsemen are. We are now in the period of the global birth pains of the earth, and the Trumpet judgments are next. This book proves there will never be a world government ruled by a dictator, but there will be WW3. The author discovered missiles and rockets described in detail, even the warhead, which is called a "head that kills" with fire, smoke, and sulfur. And contrary to popular teaching, America is in fact found in Bible prophecy, and is a major player, as you would expect. The visions of Daniel also have a new interpretation. The passage in Daniel 9:27 that is supposed to refer to a 7-year peace treaty is being grossly misinterpreted. The original Protestant view of that verse is the correct view. Daniel's vision of the four beasts and the statue with ten toes both show that there will never be a world government. Those passages are not being correctly interpreted. The Bible text never says that the ten toes will rule the world, but only the fourth beast from which the horns come. Likewise, it never says the ten toes will rule the world, but actually says they will break apart. The book also proves that the Jews must convert before Christ will return. Yes, it is plainly stated in the Bible several times! Which makes one wonder how the opposite view could become a popular doctrine. Though this book was not written against the pre-tribulation Rapture, the correct interpretation of Bible prophecy does prove the pre-tribulation Rapture theory is false, which is seen repeatedly throughout the book. The author even found the smoking gun that kills the pre-trib Rapture theory! He even presents a new interpretation of the two witnesses, using the Old Testament the author shows that the symbolic meaning of the two witnesses is Christianity, which is why they cannot be killed until they have finished their testimony, which represents reaching all nations with the Gospel. They will be killed in a global terrorist attack organized by the beast and false prophet. This is Book One in a series of 4. Michael D. Fortner analyzes the text of many Bible passages by examining the Hebrew or Greek, and consulting commentaries such as Barnes Notes on the Bible. He takes the view that the symbols of the Bible have a literal meaning that God wants us to understand, and sites the passage in Revelation 1 as proof that the symbols of Revelation have literal meaning. * Proof that the beast comes to power with the 5th Trumpet * The smoking gun that Kills the pretribulation Rapture * The United States FOUND clearly several times * Evidence the Great Tribulation could begin soon * A new interpretation of Daniel's 4 beasts * A new interpretation of Daniel's ten toes * New discoveries about Daniel's 70th week * Evidence that the Bride of Christ is not the entire Church * Proof positive that the beast will NOT rule the entire planet * Missiles and rockets described in detail, even the warhead And MUCH more.
