This book is taken from a larger forthcoming publication on the science of hadith, and was initially used for a short course held in the blessed month of Ramadan 2015. Due to the interest expressed by a number of students and teachers it was thought beneficial to release this early draft which can be utilised in a classroom setting. This work consists of an abridged translation of Shaykh Hasan al-Mashat's commentary on the Bayquniyyah poem, interspersed with diagrams created by the translator to facilitate understanding of the concepts covered in the text. In addition, further reading is provided in the appendices which students may find beneficial.

An online translation of the Bayquniyyah poem has been used in this edition with some minor alterations, the name of the translator not being known (May God reward them abundantly for their effort). As for the Arabic edition of the Bayquniyyah poem reproduced here, the version edited by Khalid al-Suwaifi based on two manuscripts and some printed editions was used.

Illuminating the Darkness critically addresses the issue of racial discrimination and colour prejudice in religious history. Tackling common misconceptions, the author seeks to elevate the status of blacks and North Africans in Islam. The book is divided into two sections: Part l of the book explores the concept of race, 'blackness', slavery, interracial marriage and racism in Islam in the light of the Qur'an, Hadith and early historical sources. Part ll of the book consists of a compilation of short biographies of noble black and North African Muslim men and women in Islamic history including Prophets, Companions of the Prophet and more recent historical figures. Following in the tradition of revered scholars of Islam such as al-Jahiz, Ibn al-Jawzi and al-Suyuti who wrote about this topic, Illuminating the Darkness is structured according to a similar monographic arrangement.
Aisha al-Ba‘uniyya (c.1456–1517) was one of the greatest women mystics in Islamic history. A Sufi master and an Arab poet, her religious writings were extensive by any standard and extraordinary for her time. In medieval Islam a number of women were respected scholars and teachers, but they rarely composed works of their own. Aisha al-Ba‘uniyya, however, was prolific. She composed over twenty works, and likely wrote more Arabic prose and poetry than any other Muslim woman prior to the twentieth century. The first full-scale biography of al-Ba‘uniyya in the English language, this volume provides a rare glimpse into the life and writings of a medieval Muslim woman in her own words. Homerin presents her work in the wider context of late-medieval Islamic spirituality, examining the influence of figures such as Ibn al-‘Arabi, al-Busiri and Ibn al-Farid, and emphasising the role of the person of the Prophet Muhammad in her spirituality. The hadith qudsi are the sayings of the Prophet divinely communicated to him. The present collection has been compiled from all the available books of hadith. The forty chosen here are all well authenticated and present many of the doctrinal, devotional and ethical elements of Islam. A scholarly introduction deals fully with the subject and shows the way in which the hadith qudsi differs from the Qur'an and from the Prophetic hadith. This selection and translation has been made by the translators of An-Nawawi's Forty Hadith. Forty Hadith Qudsi is regarded as a companion volume and has been printed in similar format with the original Arabic text given alongside the English translation.
The Tadmuriyyah is a treatise written by Ibn Taymiyyah. The famous scholar of Islam, who strives always against the Bid'ah (innovation) until the end of his life, yet he did not stop his journey to the truth. So it is not strange that he said "What could my enemies possibly do to me? My paradise is in my heart; wherever I go it goes with me, inseparable from me. For me, prison is a place of (religious) retreat; execution is my opportunity for martyrdom; and exile from my town is but a chance to travel." He has many books written in different fields of knowledge. This treatise discussed the Aqeedah; which included names and its attributes of Allah (¿); Shari'ah and Al-Qadar, which considers the vital part of Islamic religion. It is also one of the most important books use in Salafi to shape the Aqeedah. This treatise is about some answers related to Aqeedah given to the students of Tadmur. Here Ibn Taymiyyah indicates that it is obligatory for the seeker of Tawhid to firm believe on whatever Allah says about Himself and to deny whatever Allah denies about Himself; the duty of 'Ibad towards command is to obey, towards prohibition is to avoid, after that he should seek forgiveness from Allah(¿).This treatise has many explanations but Taqrib Tadmuriyyah is considered as one of the best among these explanations; given by Shaykh al-Uthaymeen.
