The data requirements outlined in this document were developed specifically to address the characteristics of microbial pest control agents and to enable the evaluation of product safety, merit, and value. These requirements relate to the content of submissions from those seeking registration of microbial agents as pesticides in Canada. The refer to: the organization of data in the submission; characterization of the active ingredient, product specifications, manufacturing processes, analytical methodology, and quality assurance; human health and safety testing; metabolism studies; food and feed residue studies; environmental fate; environmental toxicology; and field and operational efficacy. Where applicable, various levels of testing are noted.
