A funny picture book about what Santa does when it's not Christmas. With enough look-and-search-games for an entire year of reading. For little helpers ages 5 years and up. Santa . . . You know his beard, his sleigh, his reindeer, and his presents. Because you see those every December. But do you know what he's up to the rest of the year?
This year, the job is just too big. Santa Claus needs help in his workshop! He posts a sign in his yard, and soon the applicants start arriving. But the mermaids get the toys wet. The fairies leave glitter everywhere. The gnomes think brussels sprouts make great presents. And the wizards have turned Santa into a frog! Just when things are looking desperate, the elves arrive to save the day! A companion book to Who Will Guide My Sleigh Tonight?, this humorous peek behind the scenes at the North Pole is told in Jerry Pallotta's kid-friendly style and beautifully illustrated by David Biedrzycki.
With list in hand, Santa boarded his sleigh on Christmas Eve. Things were going well until a huge gush of wind blew the list right out of Santa's hand. Santa still had gifts to deliver, but without his list, he had no idea which gift to deliver to which child. He brought ice skates to Julie, who always wanted to be an artist. Noah, whose only interest was baseball, received a guitar and microphone. Santa was worried that he may not have gotten the gifts delivered to the right children, but he didn't need to worry. Children will discover, along with Santa the magic that took place, the year Santa lost his list!
Santa takes his first vacation in 1, years.
Oh no! Will Christmas have to be cancelled? News spread through the North Pole as the elves spoke to poor Santa, they had to deliver the very sad news to him - his sleigh has broken down and they can't work out why!Of course, this is a huge problem for Santa and right at the worst possible time! Christmas is just days away so this is a huge problem, it would break his heart if he had to cancel Christmas which has never happened before and he is not about to let it happen this year so now he has to try and figure out how he can deliver all of the toys to the girls and boys around the world this year? He has no idea if the elves will be able to fix it in time which means Santa had better get busy and try to find an alternative mode of transport just in case his sleigh can't be fixed.now all of Santa's friends up in the North Pole are desperately trying to help Santa knowing how important this is to him, turn the pages to see what wonderful, funny and just sometimes weird or wacky suggestions they come up for Santa to try, he even gets on the phone to call some of his friends for other suggestions and after all of the testing he soon gets very tired. Now of course you will have to read the story to find out if they got the sleigh fixed in time and what Santa tried from all the suggestions and how many times did the elves have to rescue Santa!
"Being nice and kind should be rewarded." The story begins in the North Pole where Santa seeks to find the nicest of the nice and the kindest of the kind--that's the "Kid of the Year." Follow the enchanted and joyous adventure of Jen-bunny, as she begins her journey when her favorite stuffed animal wakes her up. They are then transported to the magical land of Santa where she becomes a princess, flies on a reindeer, and rides in a very small French race car named S'cargo. She meets the prince of the elves, gets rescued by giant army snowmen, and so much more. Each chapter is an adventure in itself leading up to the grandest adventure of them all, the great sleigh ride around the world on Christmas Eve. There's never a dull moment and plenty to smile, laugh and cheer about. The theme of the joy of kindness is displayed throughout the book, including a very clever anti-bullying message. The title of my book, Santa's Thirty-Five Year Sleigh Ride: Memoirs of a Professional Career as Santa Claus, states the basic summary of my book and alerts the reader of what to expect. It contains many of my favorite memories (memoirs) of my career as a professional Santa Claus over the past thirty-five years. To me, children are special, and they deserve to be happy. At first contact, I have no idea of their background or their circumstances. I just do my best to make them feel like the most important person in the world. The few minutes they have with me (as Santa Claus) might very well be the only time during the entire year that they feel special, important, and loved. My memoirs are full of interesting stories, sad stories and true tales of surprising adventures and events in the life of a modern-day Santa Claus. Since I love humor, and I think that most people do, I have included my most memorable stories that are memorable because of the humor involved. And perhaps some of my favorite memories will become some of yours as well. Maybe you have wondered what a Santa Claus does, what experience he has had, or why he became a Santa Claus in the first place. Perhaps you have wondered what credentials he has to have or what type of personality he needs to be a great and convincing Santa Claus. If so, my book will be of great interest and value to you. I, as Santa, have had many, many precious moments with children; I have had both funny and sad moments that may bring you to tears. I've smiled, I've laughed, and I've cried. You will too. And if you've ever wondered what it would be like to be a Santa Claus and make a child smile by just being there...my book will help you to understand. And finally, if you have ever considered actually donning the red suit and portraying the 'Jolly Old Elf' yourself, my book may very well push you over the top.
