True Freedom On Protecting Human Dignity and Religious Liberty Cardinal Timothy M. Dolan, Archbishop of New York Are American liberties on the endangered species list? In this eBook original, the Archbishop of New York and president of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops issues a plea for all citizens to reject the cynicism of the day and foster a culture in which religious freedom and all human life are infinitely valued. Religion and the dignity of human life are under attack by a variety of threats in the modern world including abortion, infanticide, eugenics, misuse of artificial reproductive technologies, an unjust distribution of economic resources, war, the arms trade, drugs, and human trafficking. What can be done to stop this? Cardinal Timothy Dolan explains the need for all Americans to embrace a new culture rooted in what Blessed John Paul II called the Gospel of Life where the sacredness of all human life, and the freedoms that are their birthright, are upheld, respected and protected by law.

Tera Bradham was born to prove people wrong. The fastest swimmer her age in the United States by age ten, many believed “Tera the Terror” was destined for the Olympics. Her fiercely competitive spirit and unmatched intensity knew no limits until Tera suffered a sudden, devastating shoulder injury that derailed her promising career. Although she trusted in God, she also wrestled with doubts of his goodness throughout subsequent years of misdiagnoses, chronic pain, and crippling disappointment. Her injury finally forced her to fully surrender to God. Then her miracle came, or so she thought. Her shoulder was successfully reconstructed, and after two more years of grueling recovery, Tera found the courage to swim again and pursue her dreams with renewed faith. Swimming for Freedom tells the story of Tera’s unconventional comeback and shows that through God, all things are possible. What started as an Olympic dream ended in her true miracle: the freedom of a life in Christ. Tera’s story will inspire you to rise up, dream again, and fight for his calling on your life.
Wendy Cohen, born to atheists shortly after WWII, knew, from her earliest memories, that her parents' atheism was wrong. Because of ongoing, supernatural, encounters with Jesus, she had a rich, personal relationship with God. Her heart yearned to bring her parents, whose atheism was born from the Holocaust, out of their darkness into the light of God's Love. When she was six years old, she promised the LORD she would do that. Within months, her world was demolished. Left with a babysitter who practiced Satanic Ritual Abuse, she spent two weeks, within a coven, watching people be tortured to death. Somehow, at that early age, she realized that the same spiritual force that created Naziism had created this death cult. She promised God to do her part to end this horrible nightmare. After a lifetime spent in the arts, including theatre, music, writing, and teaching the above, it has finally come time for her to testify of her recovery, and to offer God's hand of help, as she experienced it, to others. She hopes this book will open doors for much healing. Wendy pastors through an Assembly of God church, and works internationally, encouraging Christian visual and performing artists to enhance the intimacy of their personal relationships with the LORD. For information on her work as a musician, on her international arts center, and on her other work with artists, please contact her at [email protected].
"Dao Tran was once as vicious, cold-hearted, uncaring, and volatile a criminal and gang member any teenage immigrant could be. Despite being trapped; enslaved in a world of unending gang violence and crime with the notorious Vietnamese Born To Kill gang that terrorized New York's Chinatown, the miraculous transformation power of the Holy Spirit quickly turned this hell-bent soul into a warm, loving, forgiving servant of Christ Jesus. In his own words, Dao Tran takes you on a journey that relives his life from a boy in Vietnam, to his incarceration at the age of seventeen because of state and federal crimes he committed. How did he escape the damning clutch Satan had on his life to become the forgiven born again Christian he is today? What brought about his TRUE FREEDOM? The wonderful thing about Dao's story is it can also be yours! Your life can change because there is a way, ONE WAY, to escape the imprisonment, judgment, and punishment of sin. Read this true and powerful story and be encouraged with the words of Jesus found in the Gospel of John: "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed." John 8:36." -Pastor Frank Quiñones
