This book combines interdisciplinary and comparatist approaches (anthropology, philosophy, psychology, and language) in the investigation of the mythic mode of thought and language in the post-Symbolist poets Arthur Rimbaud, Georg Trakl, Hart Crane, and Charles Olson.
