The bestselling author of The Elegant Universe and The Fabric of the Cosmos tackles perhaps the most mind-bending question in modern physics and cosmology: Is our universe the only universe? There was a time when "universe" meant all there is. Everything. Yet, a number of theories are converging on the possibility that our universe may be but one among many parallel universes populating a vast multiverse. Here, Briane Greene, one of our foremost physicists and science writers, takes us on a breathtaking journey to a multiverse comprising an endless series of big bangs, a multiverse with duplicates of every one of us, a multiverse populated by vast sheets of spacetime, a multiverse in which all we consider real are holographic illusions, and even a multiverse made purely of math--and reveals the reality hidden within each. Using his trademark wit and precision, Greene presents a thrilling survey of cutting-edge physics and confronts the inevitable question: How can fundamental science progress if great swaths of reality lie beyond our reach? The Hidden Reality is a remarkable adventure through a world more vast and strange than anything we could have imagined.
Designed to provide the ideal solution for teaching junior science, "New Star Science 6" books are aimed at the sixth primary school year. These teacher's notes provide a background to the unit as well as photocopiables and assessment material. The focus of this text is "forces in action".
The Living Universe is a new non-field theory of Mass, Space, Time, Energy and Gravity. It explains the creation of the universe without the Big Bang and details the structure and workings of Matter, Energy and Gravity in a way that anyone can understand.
While the space/time warpage of Einstein's General Relativity remains the favore d'explanation for gravity, a steadfast, perhaps growing, school of thought adheres to the so-called 'pushing gravity' concept set forth long ago by lesage. The appeal of this concept lies in the ease with which it's operation can be physically visualized; a universally applied gravity-producing radiation perpetually bombards all masses and is partially abosrbed by them; thus two masses in the same neighborhood mutually shield each other from the radiatoin coming from the direction of the other; hence the two masses are 'pushed' together by the difference in impact forces acting along their line of centers. In contrast to the mass-active rationales of both Newtonian gravity and General Relativity, which in the former case require a mass to actively attract or 'pull' another mass toward it, and in the latter, to actively warp space/time, the pushing gravity concept is mass-passive; the active forces are due to the gravity-producing radiation. Beyond Lesage, it was Quineros Majorana who set forth the idea of the exponential attenuation of the radiation as it passes through mass, and this idea is developed and applied in this book. While some of the developments are quite tedious, two sections present a lighter side. The first featurs a simple derivation of the time-rate equation of the simplest black hole, serving as the basis for describing four of its fantasies. Remarkably, a twin solution, having no such singularities, is also produced. A second attempt is a short story written in the form of a dialogue (not reminiscent of Galileo's'Dialogue') between a mother and a son who, while concocting a kettle of 'stone soup,' blithely contrive a version of astronomy based on the pushing gravity concept and the presumed expansion of the Earth.
This book describes the new Circlon Synchronicity philosophy that uses the mechanics of Newton's F=ma for the measurement of energy and matter within a universe of absolute mass, space, time and gravity. The discovery that the electron's mass has been decreasing since the beginning of time reveals the creation of matter in our evolutionary past. This creation story combines the Big Bang theory's measurements with the evolving electrodynamics of circlon shaped electrons, protons and photons. This story begins with red shifted Hubble galaxies and the so called Dark Energy supernovas. Next, the photons of the 2.7˚K Cosmic Blackbody Radiation are created by 2256 decaying neutrons at the end of a stable neutron cloud era. A long time prior to this, all of our electrons and protons were bifurcated from a single anti-Hydrogen atom. This book is illustrated with many circlon models, nuclear structures, charts and equations that depict circlon electrodynamics and the evolution of the universe.
