Esta investigación de metodología no experimental del tipo exploratoria se realizó con el propósito de identificar cuáles son las percepciones de los maestros en relación con las habilidades sociales en los estudiantes de la niñez temprana (kinder a tercero) y cuáles de las estrategias que utilizan los maestros en los salones, les ha resultado más exitosa al momento de trabajar con el desarrollo de habilidades sociales. Del análisis de la información se logró una mayor comprensión y conocimiento relacionado con las habilidades sociales que los estudiantes poseen al iniciar su proceso formal de educación y cuáles son las habilidades sociales que deben ser desarrolladas en ellos. Se identificaron las estrategias educativas exitosas e ineficientes que utilizan las maestras de la niñez temprana al momento de atender y desarrollar las habilidades sociales en sus estudiantes.
