Li Xun, a successful university student who had just started his career two years ago, accidentally died and transmigrated to the continent of the Sword Soul. After his rebirth, his luck here was extremely good. There were always all kinds of fortuitous encounters, such as the Illusory Sword Realm, the Sword Spirit Clan's inheritance, the trial of the demon race in the seabed, the compromise of the dragon race, the pursuit of the dark sword clan, and the hope of the descendants of the god race. All sorts of top quality beauties appeared one after another at Li Xun's side. Was it necessary to accept all of the unexpected marriages, Princess Sword Spirit's tens of thousands of years of waiting, cheap fiancées, the people who followed orders to die for him, etc., after seeing each other twice? Like Aesop’s Fables and Orwell’s Animal Farm, The Maze is populated with animal characters who, in their words and actions, reveal truths about human nature. In The Woods, a very popular, clever, and ambitious rat named Sniff—who commands a pack of deputy rats known as The Five—intends to replace the aging leader, Owl, when he retires on election day in two weeks. As a famous athlete of the air in his youth, Owl has established The Tradition of Wings. In his speeches to the animals, Sniff—an assistant to Owl but already acting as if he’s the leader—promises to establish what he calls “The Kingdom of Sharing,” in which rats will be “leaders” and all other animals will be “followers.” Opposing Sniff’s rise to power are two winged animals—a well-known poet hawk, Wing, and his studious friend, Butterfly—and Claws, a young, robust, and competitive squirrel. The central image of the story is a maze. Sniff has one built ostensibly for community recreation but actually to make money and to display rats’ superiority as maze-runners. Other characters in this sometimes-humorous story include Spider, an architect; Snake, a “shady” character; Stub, a mole who assists Sniff; and Frog, an instructor of bug-catching. The Maze is not only about human nature but about animal life in general. It explores necessities of survival such as status and power, altruism and self-interest, the defense of territory, and the conquering of enemies through group cooperation.

Professor Fellows presents a map of Ruskin's mind as it shifts from conditions of mastery to madness. In his study, he examines and transcribes the ways in which Ruskin observed his dislocation of imagination and shows how, in the very process of disintegration; he was enabled by his peculiar genius to transform the effects on his language and conceptualization into new forms of articulation under pain. In this queer gothic romance, a young marquis caught between freedom and passion, honor and love will have to unravel a centuries-old curse to find his own happy ending. Trapped in a world of straight expectations, queer marquis Emile longs for independence. So, when his aunt declares he must marry to produce an heir or be disowned, he runs away disguised as a servant until he can come of age and reclaim his inheritance. All Emile needs to do is keep his head down and bide his time, but he quickly stumbles into a mystery beyond his imagination. While working in the service of the intimidating Count Montoni and his family, Emile learns that they suffer from a strange affliction every full moon, which requires full sedation. And when he discovers a mangled corpse on the estate the same night as suspicious family arguments break out, he reports it. But Emile cannot guess what lengths Count Montoni is willing to go to to keep his family’s secrets safe. As Emile becomes more entangled in the household and its paranormal origins, his inquiries draw the attention of the handsome doctor, Bram, and the count’s charismatic nephew, Henri. But how can Emile earn the esteem of the earnest doctor, while keeping his own identity and desires a secret? And how can he trust—let alone love—Henri, a man as mercurial as the ever-changing moon? To find the love he deserves and survive the Montoni family, Emile will have to risk his title as well as his life.
