Bodies abound in this saga of abduction and mayhem set in Humberside and London. Some of them are heavenly, Lucy, for instance, has legs that go on forever, Alice has a dancer's body, and with our Dave - an experienced striker - she goes on forever too. Then there's the body in the freezer. Not nice at all. But what do you do when the boss takes an interest in your beautiful blonde lover? Worse, what do you do when she goes missing? Excellent locations, broad humour and sexual tension fuel the drama as Dave and his friends track down the wrongdoer - and are themselves pursued. Don't miss the thriller from an author who's clearly lived life to the full.
There are no more secrets looming between Taylor and Ransom. But sometimes, the truth can be just as damaging. After an encounter in an alley with Taylor’s ex, Brad, goes horribly wrong, the pair has to decide how far they’re willing to go to stay together and not let past traumas define them. As they travel up and down the East Coast, Taylor and Ransom’s relationship will be put to the test. Unfortunately, it’s not the only relationship they have to worry about. From a reunion with Ransom’s dysfunctional biological family to an attempt at finally putting the Brad drama to rest, Taylor and Ransom need to find out how they got to this point—and where they’ll go from here.

Did you know most resumes are tossed aside because of content; not qualifications. What a shame when you are qualified for a job yet eliminated because as little as one word or phrase sent up a *red flag* about you or annoyed the person making the final decision. There are many common words that employers and HR do not like to see. Words that are so overused and misused, just seeing the words annoys them. So what happens next? When employers read your resume and see *red flags* or are annoyed, they hit the delete button and move on to the next resume.
A great deal of biblical scholarship is written for academics and fails to edify readers or strengthen their Christian ministry. Yet, Christians need to be nourished by the word of God so they can mature in faith and righteousness. Filling this gap, The Branch Exposition of the Bible is a resource for preachers, scholars and ordinary Christians alike, to help open God’s word and shed its light into life, ministry and teaching. Inspired by the words of the great reformer Martin Luther about shaking every branch of Scripture, and with experience in ministering across Africa, India and the West, Michael A. Eaton helps us understand the meaning of the Bible and taste its fruit. Together with the New Testament volume, this exposition of the Old Testament accessibly engages with the biblical languages, gives application for our lives and leads us through each book of the Old Testament so that we can meet the resurrected Jesus Christ in the pages of Scripture.
To represent the past century of Korean fiction, this definitive collection extends beyond familiar writers, challenges cultural norms, and crosses political borders. By inlcuding stories from neglected female, North Korean, and wolbuk writers (those who migrated to the North after 1945 and whose works were widely banned in South Korea) and by bringing politically engaged works together with experimental ones, this anthology articulates the ruptures and resolutions that have makred the peninsula. From sketches of desperate peasants in straitened circumstances to fast-moving, visceral tales of contemporary South Korea, the works in this collection bear witness to the dramatic transformations and events in twentieth-century Korean history, including Japanese colonial rule, civil war, and economic modernization in the South. The writers explore these developments through a variety of literary and political lenses, revealing wtih precision and poignancy their impact on Korean society and the lives of ordinary Koreans. This anthology includes an introduction, which synthesizes the key developments in modern Korean literature, and a comprehensive bibliography of Korean fiction in translation.
