This book was born from the sweet memories that I had of learning to dance on my own daddy's shoes. My mom used to tell about what a good dancer my dad was and how she loved to dance with him. I wanted dance with him too because I was a daddy's girl through and through. I hope all little girls can learn to dance on their daddy's shoes like the little girl in this story Learning to dance and following our daddy's lead also serves as a metaphor for our relationship with our Heavenly Father. If we come to Him like a little girl comes to her daddy, with hearts wide open, He will teach us to dance the dances that He has chosen for each of our lives. Then we can take His hands, follow His lead, and learn to dance by His grace. I believe that girls of all ages can enjoy that special relationship with their Heavenly Father if they will accept Him as their own. And I pray that every girl, no matter her age, can see herself dancing on her daddy's shoes.

Adam Tyler was used to setting the rules and being a bachelor—then he became a single dad. His little girl had him wrapped around her finger. He knew he needed a nanny, but a wife? As the only unmarried woman in Deerhorn, Wisconsin, Stacy Poplar figured she was just about past her shelf life. And she was determined to learn about the steamy side of love from a hunk! Theirs was the perfect temporary arrangement. Stacy spent her days keeping house and kissing boo-boos—and her nights in Adam's bed where he showed her the pleasures she'd never known. Then the townsfolk set out—with a little help from a pint-size matchmaker—to make sure it would last a lifetime.
Love is so much more than a feeling; a temporary, changeable emotion. Love is a choice you make over and over every day. Love should never be an impulse; it requires an investment. Love means to cherish, treasure, adore, and that should be reserved for people, not things. My dad Poochie loved me, and because he loved me, he enjoyed doing things with me and for me...Father God loves me too with a special all-encompassing love. It is unconditional. He loves me no matter what I do or say or how I behave. It's a forever love. We're all searching for love. But do we really understand it? How do we find it? How do we access and keep it? Do we even know what it is? Katherine Ford tackles each of these question using her wonderful father's love as a picture of the love of our heavenly Father she came to know as an adult. Wherever you're at in your search for love, you'll find encouragement and inspiration in Father God and My Dad Poochie.

“[Not] the typical celebrity memoir . . . as much an account of her decades-long spiritual journey as it is a look back at her TV and movie career.” —Spiritual Pop Culture “Mary is a whole lot more than Erin on The Waltons. This book shows how she’s handled all the highs and lows with grace.” —George Clooney For nine seasons, Mary McDonough was part of one of the most beloved families in television history. Now, as the first cast member to write about her experiences on the classic series, she candidly recounts the joys and challenges of growing up Walton—from her overnight transformation from a normal kid in a working class, Irish Catholic family, to a Hollywood child star, to the personal challenges that led her to take on a new role as an activist for women’s body image issues. Two Truths and a Lie is a memoir in the form of three solo plays written and performed by Scott Turner Schofield. From inside the often hilarious-but all too real-moments of his young life on the Homecoming Court and Debutante Ball circuit (in a dress), armed with only a decoder ring and a gifted tongue, Schofield comes out with truly unbelievable stories of a body in search of an identity. By turns slapstick and slap-to-the-face, this drama invites audiences and readers to explore gender, sex, sexuality, and self in their own first person.
