A tale that defies logic. A love that transcends time. Sydney Vaughn can't sleep at night. Haunted by the vivid, recurring dream of a desperate knight and maiden, she is convinced she is witnessing a past life. However, convincing ex-cop and cynic Winn Lacey that they share the souls of ill-fated medieval lovers proves a difficult challenge. As history begins to repeat itself, unraveling the mystery of their tragic past becomes a matter of life or death. Will Winn's leap of faith come too late?
Originally appeared in the print anthology A Mother's Way, under the title "Mother May I?" From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Lynsay Sands comes a classic short story of a knight in need of a bride … Lady Alice knows she is not the type to entice a man. She's too voluptuous, too intelligent, too strong minded. Why, she even reads! But then Jonathan, Earl of Fairley, arrives at court. Tall, dark and handsome, the knight is any woman's dream. And he has just been ordered by the king to find a bride … and Alice is to help him! Jonathan has been evading his mother's matchmaking schemes for years, so why does she insist that Lady Alice isn't for him? Alice is only to aid in his search for a bride, yet Jonathan can't help but be distracted by her glorious hair—the color of a sunset—and a figure that is like a lush berry about to burst to full ripeness … Has Jonathan fallen prey to love?
I have been lucky enough to be able to read Linda's poems for quite some time now & my life has been made richer for it. They make me laugh, cry, happy, angry, sad, thoughtful, sometimes all at the same time! I hope you enjoy them as much as I do & treasure this book from this remarkable woman. LEE (LA) I first started reading Linda's poems last year and immediately felt she should do something more with them. I told her to try and publish them so other people could enjoy her work too. Ever since she became more self assured about her work which resulted in more and more poems, eventually leading to this book Linda's poems are always touching, heartfelt and they strike a nerve every time. You never know if they are autobiographical, but each reader can relate the poems to events in his or her life. One of her lyrics has even been used by a Scottish rock band to transform into a song. This book will capture you from the first poem till the last. ilona brandwijk (rockstage management Holland) They are beautiful and I identify with the sentiment and words of every single poem there because they reflect my life experience, my wants, desires and fears and they will other people's too. People need to read words like that provide confirmation that they are not alone in feeling like that and that its something that we all go through in life. I think to publish them or even to music to them would be excellent. Some musicians out there don't write as well as you. I really think you could do very very well with them. Lizzie (Dublin)
Few stories were as widely known during the Middle Ages as the account of Iwein and Laudine, which appeared in French, Welsh, English, Norse, Swedish, Danish, Icelandic, and two German variants. The older German version, that by the Swabian nobleman Hartmann von Aue, won instant popularity and became a model of form, style, and language for the many courtly epics which his countrymen composed up to the beginning of the modern period. In recent years, his Iwein has enjoyed a remarkable revival among medieval scholars as traditional interpretations have been challenged by new ones.
Some decisions have everlasting effects. Destroying the network has ended energy mining and given dreams back to many adults. Yet, a new problem has emerged. A portal exists between the goblin kingdom and Earth, and the Dream Knights must stop goblins from freely entering. On their quest to prevent goblin mischief, the heroes discover the gate, the magical source of all portals. However, eliminating the gate would have everlasting effects. Portals everywhere, beyond Earth, would be removed. What decision will the Dream Knights make? Will it be the right one? Dream Knights is a children’s adventure series about controlling dreams and connecting fantasy with reality.
