Keeping God at the Center is informative as well as instructional. It contains four kinds of teaching: first, insights derived from pondering the meaning of selected phrases and prayers from the traditional liturgy; second: four chapters on the personalist theology behind traditional Jewish prayer; third, meditations on the liturgy and clear instructions on how to pray certain prayers; and, fourth, instructions on how to pray certain prayers mystically. Both those well-acquainted with the prayerbook and those completely unfamiliar with it will be able to derive benefit from this book. It is a continuation of the main themes of Blumenthal’s earlier work in Jewish spirituality, theology, and mysticism.
Every time God visits the Earth, He visits His devotees living across various places to refresh their hope and intensify their desire towards Him. When God is not here, His Saints take over His role and walk across the globe inspiring the devotees. Guruvarya Shri Devkrushnadasji Swami, the head of Gurukul Rajkot is a Saint and Guru of over 240 such Sadhus who currently propagate Bhagwan Swaminarayan's mission around the globe. Sadguru Shri Devprasaddasji Swami among them is one such Saint who often visits devotees with a single intent of strengthening their desire towards God, and thus reducing the distance between devotees and God. In the year 2017, within a span of three months, Swamiji travelled across all corners and centers of United States to personally visit the devotees, and teach them the devotional techniques that he had learnt from His Guru Shastriji Maharaj Shri Dharmajivandasji Swami (and other prominent Saints), from his personal observations while living as per God's and Guru's directions, and from scriptures like Vachanamrut, Swami Ni Vato, Bhagavat Gita, etc., “The art of being detached from worldly attachments”, “Real cause of birth and death cycle”, “Importance of selfless actions and the process of bringing it into your life”, “Importance of a Saint in our lives”, “Understanding Moh (Enchantment)”, are some of the many profound topics explained in a simple manner that would help ease a devotee's life by multiple folds. This book is an attempt to capture the depth of Swamiji's teachings that he delivered in USA in the year 2017. Shri Ramesh B. of non-Gujarati descent listened to the Katha in Gujarati and transcribed it as a collection which took the form of this book. We hope that the book brings forth the teachings of Sadguru Devprasaddasji Swami as it is and brings clarity on the inner techniques of devotion to the reader and thus enabling him to possess God as quickly as possible.

Discover what it means to become a man of faith through the lives of ten male saints and their experiences pursuing holiness. In Holy Grit, you’ll join Catholic life coach Paul George to consider some of the tough issues facing men today—struggles in marriage, parenting, suffering, and finding purpose—to determine areas for growth and take steps toward living the life for which God created you. You might have grown up with an image of masculinity defined by tough guys on TV—boxers, gangsters, cowboys, fighter pilots, the fastest gun in the West. These guys had courage, backbone, and guts. They had grit. “As a man, I know the struggles of living a manly existence. It is one I deal with daily,” George writes. “I’m no expert, but I’m a gritty guy, like you, grinding it out on my journey.” But George admits that grit isn’t enough to satisfy the longing in a man’s soul: you have to start trusting God and taking seriously the call to be holy. Holy Grit is rich in personal stories, thought-provoking questions, spiritual insights, and mental health tips that help Catholic men like you build the spiritual foundation you need to serve your family, parish, and community. George invites you to examine how saints such as Maximilian Kolbe, Louis Martin, and John Paul II understood themselves as men. Learning from the lessons of the saints, George will help you explore how to: overcome vice with St. Augustine; pursue God through your habits with St. Thomas More; experience God’s healing power with St. Padre Pio; surrender to the will of God with St. Peter; and develop daily discipline with St. Paul. Each chapter introduces a saint, offers practical takeaways for modern men, and includes reflection questions, an action plan, and a prayer.
