Andrew (Andreas) Kauffman (d.1743) migrated from Switzerland to the Palatinate of Germany, and then immigrated via Rotterdam to Philadelphia in 1717. He married twice and settled in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Descendants lived in Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, Indiana and elsewhere. Henry Hedrick (1750-1800) lived in Greenbrier County, West Virginia. Moses Hedrick (1801-1862), his grandson, also lived in Greenbrier County, and married four times. Descendants lived in West Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, Nebraska and elsewhere.
Chiefly a record of some of the descendants of John Lewis. He was born in Donegal County, Ireland 1678 to Andrew Lewis and Mary Calhoun. He married Margaret Lynn. He died in Virginia 1 Feb 1762. They were the parents of seven children.
