Journey back to the planet Celta with award-winning author Robin D. Owens in this novel about shadowed enemies and unimaginable psi power. Muin “Vinni” T'Vine has been the prophet of Celta since he was six years old. A unique and lonely child, his strong psi power made most people wary of him. But now that he’s older, he’s ready to marry and protect the girl he’s known was his HeartMate for years. Avellana isn't as fragile as Vinni believes…nor as compliant. She fights to be considered Vinni's equal and a strong member of her Family and community. Both of them have kept Avellana's main power secret for over a decade. But rumors of her strange psi talent are spreading, and Vinni is experiencing premonitions of danger to Avellana—even from the highest people of the land. When the whispers become threats, Vinni and Avellana must discover and defeat their secret enemies before they can finally claim happiness together.
Growing up visually impaired from a very young age was difficult and challenging in all aspects--physically, mentally, and emotionally. There were many hurdles I had to overcome and endure, but through it all, it has taught me to see with my heart and not my eyes. Say you go to the store to buy some peanuts. You bring them home to eat... Now just by looking at the shell, you can't tell if the peanuts inside are rotten or not. You actually have to crack the shell open to see if the peanuts are rotten or not. Seeing with your heart and not your eyes is the same way. You need to look inside a person to see their heart because you can't tell how a person is just by looking from the outside. Looks can be deceiving. Looks can't tell you if the person has a mental illness or if they have a kind heart or not. I went to see Christopher and Nickolas in NH for two weeks. The visit with them was going well until one night we were all sitting at the table talking and their cousin made a statement that really set me off. She said, "If you knew your kids had a chance of being like this [meaning mentally handicapped], why did you have kids?" Now what was said about my sons is the reason I decided to start a YouTube channel (Eileen Veilleux The Fam) dealing with educating people about different mental health issues and teaching different strategies and techniques to help cope with stress, anxiety, and loneliness. If I help one person to see with their heart and not their eyes or help one person who suffers from anxiety, stress, or depression, then I accomplish my goal.

"Bashir weaves a rich history of Sufi Islam around the depiction of bodily actions in Sufi literature and miniature paintings produced circa 1300-1500 CE. Focusing on the Persianate societies of Iran and Central Asia, he explores medieval Sufis' conception of the human body as the primary shuttle between interior (batin) and exterior (zahir) realities with particular attention to three arenas: religious activity in the form of rituals, rules of etiquette, asceticism, and a universal hierarchy of saints; the deep imprint of Persian poetic paradigms on the articulation of love, desire, and gender; and the reputation of Sufi masters for working miracles, which empowered them in all domains of social activity. Bashir ultimately offers a new methodology for extracting historical information from religious narratives"--Cover p. [4].

Focused on Aḥmad Ibn ‘Ajība – an eighteenth-century Moroccan Sufi scholar renowned for his contribution to Sufi Qur’ānic exegesis – this book engages critically with his theory of divine love to elucidate his impact on the wider field of Qur’ānic scholarship. The principal source of analysis is Ibn ‘Ajība’s Oceanic Exegesis of the Qur’ān which connected theoretical works on the concept of divine love to their practical application, a breakthrough in Sufi literature. Close analysis of this text is supplemented by a comparative approach focusing on several other eminent Sufi commentaries, including those of Abū al-Qāsim al-Qushayrī and Rūzbihān Baqlī Shīrāzī. This comparative approach situates Ibn ‘Ajība’s thought in theological and historical perspective, engaging with his mystical approach which integrates his theory of divine love with other Sufi doctrines in an accessible manner. This approach, it is argued, left an indelible impact on future generations of Qur’ānic exegetes within North Africa and across the Islamic world. The book will prove an important resource for academic researchers who wish to explore the vast intellectual heritage that Ibn ‘Ajība left, as well as to those interested in Sufi literature and Islamic theology in general.
Analysing well-known Hebrew medieval poets from a new, refreshing standpoint and focusing on less known authors and periods, this book shows the maturity of the research in this field. Written in English (and French) the articles make the Hebrew texts more easily available to scholars of comparative literature.
Sensation is prayer. Sensation without being judgmental is the essence of prayer. Durdane is the type of a pearl that grows in the bottom of the deepest seas. An enlightened man understands the secret revelations. To internalize all the pain arises at the darkest point of the emotions, to hold in a shell (body) as to turn that reaction from a grain of sand into a sparkling pearl, to turn bitterness into sweetness and beauty, and to be human… Sensation is prayer. Sensation without being judgmental is the essence of prayer. To love and to be loved is everything. The truth, the essence of loving has no reason. When love is connected to anything, can’t be called love. And Allah is the true love itself.
