The gospel of John, one of the key books of the Bible, reads like an intimate biography—from the pen of “the disciple whom Jesus loved.” This verse-by-verse exploration of John’s gospel brings to life the miracles and majesty of Jesus of Nazareth. Including life-related illustrations for application, the book features Bible passages within text and answers the question, “Who is Jesus?”

An introduction to a clear method of biblical interpretation For the Love of God’s Word is an abridged, less technical version of Köstenberger and Patterson’s acclaimed Invitation to Biblical Interpretation. Students, teachers, and pastors alike will find this introduction to biblical hermeneutics to be an accessible resource with both breadth and substance. Built on the premise that every passage requires careful scrutiny of its historical setting, literary dimension, and theological message, this volume teaches a simple threefold method that is applicable to every passage of Scripture regardless of genre. In addition, the book sets forth specific strategies for interpreting the various genres of Scripture, from poetry to epistle to prophecy. A final chapter is devoted to helpful Bible study resources that will equip the reader to apply Scripture to life. This book will serve as a standard text for interpreting Scripture that is both academically responsible and accessible for pastors, teachers, and college students. This volume will enable students of Scripture to grow in love for God’s Word as they grow in the disciplines of study and discernment.
The Living Word provides an introduction to the Sacred Scriptures and to the unfolding of salvation history, with a particular focus on Jesus Christ as the fulfillment of salvation history. Revelation, both Divine and natural, is explored, as are inspiration, interpretation, and exegesis. The second edition of our popular Living In Christ series offers updated navigation, organizing and synchronizing curriculum across both teacher guides and student books. The student books have shifted from a section-part-article structure to a unit-chapter-article structure where sections become units and a part is now a chapter.
A letter printed in the pages of The New York times in 2007 acknowledged differences between Christianity and Islam but contended that "righteousness and good works" should be the only areas in which the two compete. That letter and a collaborative Christian response appear in this volume, which includes subsequent dialogue between Muslim and Christian scholars.
“God is love is the radical claim of Christianity,” writes Frederick Bauerschmidt at the beginning of this little meditation on the essentials of Christian faith. In a rich yet accessible style reminiscent of C. S. Lewis and G. K. Chesterton, Bauerschmidt breathes life back into that claim, drawing from Scripture, great Christian and non-Christian writers of the past, and his own lived experience to show just how countercultural and subversive Christianity is actually meant to be. Eschewing the abstract and dogmatic in favor of the relational and inviting, he offers something for everyone, from lifelong churchgoers and students of religion to the growing population of “nones” among younger generations who are increasingly seeking spiritual fulfillment outside of institutional Christianity. With further reading suggestions (both scriptural and nonscriptural) at the end of each chapter, The Love That Is God is the perfect starting point of a spiritual journey into deeper relationship with God. The Real Word of God series began in 2019, part one being published in 2020. There has been much information delivered in this series, and I am being called to take a break from this series after part V. There is so much information to be processed, and so many layers of healing in that process, that I must stop delivering the information, and allow humanity to catch up with it. Too much too fast is destructive to evolution, and even though I have enough information to continue writing in this series, it would hinder the ability for humanity to genuinely learn all of the lessons involved. Use me as an example of listening to intuitive guidance for the greater good of humanity versus the plans our limited human mind sets in place. I will continue to work in different ways as I am being called to take action in new ways. We are limitless when walking as a vessel of creation. There is no final destination to reach, there is no point where you're "almost there." You are always there, exactly where you need to be with an opportunity to choose the next level of yourself. When you feel stuck, this series was given to me, to give to you to bring you out of the dark. I Love You. Love, Shanna
The book of Deuteronomy is a call to obedience—the proper response to God's faithfulness and love. Consisting primarily of speeches that Moses gave to the Israelites shortly before they entered the Promised Land, Moses' words proclaimed God's covenant faithfulness in hopes of motivating the Israelites to obey God despite the coming temptation to conform to the Canaanite culture. The challenges they faced then are remarkably parallel to those facing Christians today as we grapple with the issue of obedience in a world that offers other attractive ways of life. We wonder: How can we be faithful to God? And how do we help our children and the people we lead to be faithful? This book tells us how Moses tackled these challenges and, as Paul confirms in the New Testament, Deuteronomy serves "as an example...written down for our instruction" (1 Cor. 10:11). Ajith Fernando unpacks the relevance of Deuteronomy and captivates us with rich anecdotes from his thirty-five years of ministry to first-generation Christians in Sri Lanka. He offers concrete examples of how the truths contained in Deuteronomy can be applied, and he teaches us that obedience is the necessary response to the God who loves and saves us. God's Love Speaks is a divinely inspired and Heaven sent collection of love poems, poems about God's love inspired by God, who is love. Poems about God's continuous unconditional and eternal love for all of mankind. God created in his own image and after his own likeness as God first loves us while not yet perfect and are still but sinners. Poems about mankind's love and need for God's love and for God himself, who is love, as we love God because God first loved us. Poems about mankind's love and need to love ourselves as God's beloved children, to love one another as brothers and sisters through Christ and to be loved by one another loving ourselves and one another, including the stranger and even our own enemies. While we ourselves and others are not yet perfect, and are still yet sinners saved by God's loving grace. Even as we love God, because God first loved us, even so, let others love us because we first loved them. By this, all will know, we are a child and disciple of God, of he who is love.
