Samuel Guile was baptized in 1613 at Ilketshall, Suffolk County, England. He and his brother, John, immigrated to Massachusetts in 1636. He married Judith Davis in 1647 at Haverhill, Massachusetts and later died in 1683. Descendants lived in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Ohio, New York, Vermont, Illinois, Oregon, Missouri, Ontario, and elsewhere.
Kenneth Melvin Seaman was born in 1909 in St. Clair, Minnesota. His parents were Fletcher Watson Seaman (1876-1949) and Blanche Rogers (1881-1974). He married Velma Florence Churchill, daughter of Adelbert Elmer Churchill and May Jennings, in 1933. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in New York, Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Thomas Seamans probably emigrated from Barbados Island (and probably originally from England) to Swansea, Massachusetts, and in 1687 married Susannah Salisbury (b.1635). Fletcher de la Seamans (1843- 1920), a direct descendant in the sixth generation, moved from New York to Appleton, Wisconsin, and served with Wisconsin troops during the Civil War. In 1868 he married Phoebe Matilda Chase and they settled in Alma City, Minnesota, later moving to Janesville, Minnesota. Descendants and relatives lived in New England, New York, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, California and elsewhere. Some descendants immigrated to Saskatchewan and elsewhere in Canada.
