Supernatural influencer meets dirty, damaged ice queen. Welcome to Highcragh castle, where monsters enjoy themselves and meet their match, men get rescued by fierce independent women (or men), magic is fuel for love and nothing evil or damaged is ever truly irredeemable. Unapologetically eccentric and charming, Alistair Hexworth knows how to make monsters feel right at home in his gigantic gothic castle nestled in the Stormlandish mountains. The master of Highcragh is a powerful man with lots of responsibilities and friends everywhere, since he’s made it possible for so many supernatural beings to finally meet their true soulmates. But when he sets off one day for a hike in the mountains and gets swallowed up in a snow storm, he’s the one who finds himself in dire need of help. Now, Alistair doesn’t mind being rescued *at all*. Even less so when his saviour is a mysterious mountain creature with a gorgeous voice, a sensuality that rivals his own in creativity, a sharp sense of humour, rare magic, and a heart as impregnable as a fortress. Fiercely independent, Yetty has been burned by love before and hunted by humans. Now, they will do anything to protect their privacy and their secrets. Even if hiding means rejecting destiny’s perfect gift—delicious Alistair Hexworth. It'll take all of Alistair's patience and faith in love to slowly soothe their heart. This novel-length steamy paranormal romance is part of the Monster R&R series, but like all its other books, it stands alone proudly. It contains agency and compromise, many pairs of silk pyjamas in happy colours, adventures in the snowy mountains, fluid, star-crossed love, enough heat to melt a glacier, a secret baby, mostly British English spelling, and of course, some good old-fashioned gothic castle fun.

Its 1955 and the most recent expedition to the Himalayas has failed. Its purpose was to locate the whereabouts of the mythical Soma plant. The Soma plant is supposedly unique to the Himalayan Mountains and according to Nepalese legend, it has restorative powers to cure and heal and some say to prolong life. Its exact location was thought to have been found 10 years earlier with the discovery of a photograph of a strange plant that resembled a 4-leaf clover. It was amongst equipment salvaged from a previous expedition where all participants perished. This had fueled further exploration, financed by large pharmaceutical companies keen to find the plant and synthesis medicines that might make millions of dollars for their shareholders. The latest attempt present day saw the expedition team killed under mysterious circumstances, with the exception of one Sherpa guide. The survivor escapes with two broken legs having jumped from a cliff edge, while his compatriots were left back at base camp mutilated. The Sherpa's account spoke of an attack, rather than an avalanche. An attack by a mountain man as the locals term the creature. Western culture call it a Yeti or an Abominable Snowman. The Dakin Foundation, a leading pharmaceutical research company who provided funding for the expedition is undeterred and it seeks help from New York University School of Medicines top researcher, Eleanor Steed, to carry out a second expedition to find the Soma plant. Steed is terminally ill with months to live and accepts the commission, keeping her condition a secret. She does not necessarily believe in the plant's existence or its properties, it is just an opportunity to be involved in one last piece of fieldwork in a place she had never visited. Her condition is managed through medication. Elsewhere in the world a number of countries are testing bombs in the pacific and Australian outback. These man made effects on the earth's environment create a number of breaches between the earth plain and that of the Continuum. As was the case several thousand years earlier a breach opened briefly amongst the Himalayan Mountains. The Continuum Council acts swiftly to close the doorway but not before a creature called a Yetiad steps through. Unlike the family of Yetiad that did the same thousands of years before this single Yetiad comes through unprepared. Instead of a wise, knowledgeable creature living in harmony with Tibetans, it is an angry, murderous creature whose sole objective is to find the Soma plant now it has tested blood. Blood and the sap of the Soma plant combined prolong the life of the Yetiad and has the capability of doing the same for humans. The Continuum Council contacts Project Earth Director, Max Von Konsetin, telepathically seeking his help to stop the rampant Yetiad. Max in turn asks for the help of part human, part vampire, Robert Maldron. Maldron is seconded into Steed's team. While Steed searches for the Soma plant, Maldron must deal with the Yeti, the shortened name given by the Tibetan monks.

Renowned literary great Eva Ibbotson delivers a final novel in her classic, much-loved style. A previously unpublished work from this favorite author, The Abominables follows a family of yetis who are forced, by tourism, to leave their home in the Himalayas and make their way across Europe to a possible new home. Siblings Con and Ellen shepherd the yetis along their eventful journey, with the help of Perry, a good-natured truck driver. Through a mountain rescue in the Alps and a bullfight in Spain, the yetis at last find their way to an ancestral estate in England—only to come upon a club of voracious hunters who have set their sights on the most exotic prey of all: the Abominable Snowmen.
Bhutanese Tales of the Yeti is a collection of twenty-two stories set in four different regions of Bhutan. The presence of the yeti is ubiquitous to the kingdoms of the Himalayas, where beliefs and attitudes related to it go beyond scientific judgment and analysis. The Bhutanese consider the yeti, or the migoi, to be an essential part of the backdrop of their existence. Believed to possess supernatural powers enabling it to become invisible at will, the yeti often manifests itself in a tangible form and then suddenly vanishes, leaving behind nothing but an unexpected void. Folklore about the abominable snowman has existed for centuries; however, with the far-reaching impact of the media, the perpetuation of this oral tradition is threatened. This collection of stories is an attempt to document a vital tradition before it is wiped out entirely. The book is well illustrated and includes maps of the four regions.
Could the legendary Bigfoot exist among the ancient redwoods and rugged terrain of California s Eel River Valley? Little is known of the Sinkyone people who once called those majestic forests their home. With their passing went their knowledge of their mythical legends, sacred location and unspoken areas to be left alone, lost forever or were they? Generations of park rangers have sworn to protect one of the largest remaining groves of ancient coast redwoods. Since the park dedication, there has been at least one Bigfoot related report a year. For the most part, they were never taken very serious, written off as misidentified wildlife, or an over active imagination brought on by the aura of an ancient forest and even a self fulfilling prophecy for those who really want to believe. For one skeptical ranger, they were nothing more than entertaining folklore and myths. That all changed one-day after a series of Bigfoot related reports were brought to his attention. During his search for answers, he discovered that there was more to the redwoods then he ever imagined and found himself down a path that would forever change his way of thinking.
