John Ellis, son of Samuel Ellis and Barbara Blanchard, was born 6 September 1798. He married Susan Ann Ford (1797-1869), daughter of Abner Ford. They had ten children, all born in Mayfield, Maine. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Maine, Pennsylvania, Kansas, Oregon and Washington. Includes Carothers, Millar, Wright and related families.
