These proceedings represent the work of contributors to the 15th European Conference on Management Leadership and Governance (ECMLG 2019), hosted by Polytechnic Institute of Porto, Porto Accounting and Business School, Portugal on 14-15 November 2019. The Conference Chair is Prof. Anabela Mesquita and the Programme Chair is Prof. Paulino Silva, all from Polytechnic Institute of Porto, Portugal. ECMLG is a well-established event on the academic research calendar and now, in its 15th year, the key aim remains the opportunity for participants to share ideas and meet the people who hold them. The scope of papers will ensure an interesting two days. The subjects covered illustrate the wide range of topics that fall into this important and ever-growing area of research. The opening keynote presentation is given by Luis Borges Gouveia, from the Universidade Fernando Pessoa, on the topic of Emerging Alternatives to Leadership and Governance in a Digital Ecosystem. Then, an afternoon keynote will be given by Manuel Perez Cota, University of Vigo, Spain, on the subject The Changing Role of Industry Knowledge for Global Businesses. The second day of the conference will open with an address by Isabel Ramos, University of Minho, Portugal, who will talk about Collective Attention to Digital Transformation: how Smart Organizations use IT. With an initial submission of 136 abstracts, after the double blind, peer review process there are 48 Academic research papers, 6 PhD research papers, 1 Masters Research paper, 1 non-academic paper and 6 work-in-progress papers published in these Conference Proceedings.
