Commander Kieron Phillips is very much looking forward to holidaying on the ocean waves and the chance to catch up with his adapted Syrian daughter, a dancer onboard the cruise ship. However, he realises all too quickly that there was nothing coincidental about him being on board this specific voyage on this exact week, and he has no idea who to trust. From the official 5* bookclub review - Awarded 'Book of the Day' and a glowing official 5-star review by the American OnlineBookClub.org. Multi-award-winning screenwriter and movie director Stuart St Paul delivers a crime drama set at sea that feels frighteningly real. … The plot of the story was complex and had much depth to it; it presented this giant riddle with many unpredictable facets. The story carried intrigue right from when Commander Kieron Philips was introduced at the airport. His character gave off waves of mystery and intrigue with the peculiar situation in which he found himself… Kieron was the tangy combination of the good cop and the bad cop. He was the guy you wanted in your corner when things got ugly because he wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty. His character stood out because of his keen eye for foul play, bravery, and kindness. More so, the author gave a lot of insight into Kieron's thoughts and the complicated mental process of solving the mystery that lived on the cruise ship. Another impressive character was Hunter Witowski, the cruise ship's head of security. He had a dry humour that belied his tough exterior. He was one character I didn't expect to like, but he became one of my favourites. It was fun to see the wordplay between the characters. Cruise Ship Heist was action-packed, suffused with danger, murder, and unpredictability. This was one of those stories that would stay with you for a while, as it delivered mystery and intrigue. The book was fun to read; there was no dull moment, and the entire experience was a rollercoaster ride. I enjoyed every part of Cruise Ship Heist. It was professionally edited, and I disliked nothing in it. Therefore, I'd rate it five out of five stars. Cruise Ship Heist would be appreciated by lovers of mystery and thrillers. Stuart St Paul won Best Director in the USA, a Silver Palm in Mexico, was nominated for a Star & Screen in Mumbai, and his movie Scarlet Tunic was selected in Cannes for official selection at both Cabourg and Verona.
The wealthy owner of the most expensive cruise ships at sea tasks a young and expanding cruise investigation agency with finding his priceless originals. The gang cannot know the owner has discovered the replacement forgeries or that they are being investigated, or they and the art will vanish. A new ship is being fitted out and the maiden voyage draws nearer, but the web is found to spread wider and be far more complex so a young assistant at the investigators office who is a talented artist is sent undercover and into danger, with no training other than her Miami street wit.
Before they can even set up the office of CSCI, Cruise Ship Crime Investigators, the two agents are called to a mid ocean ship where a spree-killing has started. Too far into the Pacific to turn back, nine days before seeing Polynesia, and the killing is nightly. With the murderer at large no port will allow them to dock even if they do arrive, and the ship will be running low on fuel and food.
Kieron's partner has just been killed and he's had enough. He turns down the chance to go to an old school reunion on a ship in Asia, not because there was a murder at the last gathering, because these cruise ports are painful for him. The cruise may give his team a chance to recover money hidden on that ship, but his colleagues know nothing of his true past. When he sees that an ex-lover and friend Bedriška has gone, he cannot stay feeling sorry for himself because she has no right to be there and must be up to something, but as crazy as she is, she can have no idea of the trouble she is headed for.

When retired Commander Kieron Philips finds a passenger sitting dead in his seat as everyone disembarks the plane, he calls the flight attendant and makes no fuss. He thinks nothing of it. He survived Ireland, Iraq and covert missions but now misses an unexpected bullet when a woman he spent just a few flirty moments with at baggage collection is arrested at customs in South America with millions of dollars. Within minutes he's sharing a taxi to a cruise ship with two other women and his life is about to change forever. Within hours they're at sea, and he's embroiled in a saga of which he has no knowledge. His cabin is searched by a stowaway gunman, who is intercepted and arrested by Senior Officer Hunter Witowski, head of security, who suspects Philips knows that there is more to all this. Philips starts to wonder if his being on this cruise, at this time, was an accident, or whether someone saw his military skills and put him in the right place at the right time. He can't trust anyone on the ship, and no crazy amount of money is worth either his life or the life of his show-dancer daughter whom he travelled this far to visit. Except she is not his daughter and she arranged the trip.

Journey to the fascinating world of the Amazon rainforest as seen through the eyes of the native peoples, artisans, students and tourists. Anacondas, caimans, monkeys, shamans, yucca harvests, river cruises, legends and much more come to life in this amusing yet suspenseful book. Elizabeth Long, an Anthropology professor, and her group of students travel to the Amazon jungle for a study abroad trip. In this bold adventure, they encounter life as never before imagined, living with a tribe on the world’s mightiest river. The voyage takes a sudden turn when the discovery of diamonds in the area leads to a robbery. It is an event that will cause the students’ lives to converge with two elderly British tourists and two local men who work at the diamond mine, weaving them together in a race to recover the diamonds before time runs out. The book unearths the spirit of the Amazon peoples and recreates the beauty of the rainforest - the sights, smells, tastes, sounds, and dangers of this unique place. A riveting chronicle. Most entertaining is the way in which humorous tales, changing attitudes and the straddling of two very different worlds are revealed by following the visitors and natives’ days.
