Corrective Reading provides intensive intervention for students in Grades 4-12 who are reading one or more years below grade level. In Decoding A, the skills are divided into four principal areas: Word-Attack Skills, Workbook Exercises, support activities, and Checkouts and Mastery Tests.
Comprehension A creates a framework for learning new information and filling in background knowledge. Teachers are able to engage students in higher-order thinking skills based on this new foundation of knowledge.
