This book covers the life story of Charles Clark Dugan, M.D., AA, AB, and MPH. He served in the USAF for nine years as the only available Pilot, Flight Surgeon, and Physician through those years. He was hospital commander at Barksdale AFB, LA and flew all the long flights with the same crew in B-29 and B-47 aircraft. He described the true basic path physiology of cerebral concussion correctly for the first time. In private practice as a physician, this doctor practiced mostly dermatology but was board certified by six American Boards in six specialties, three basic science boards and six state boards. He also has 30 fellowships. With another immunologist, they developed successful vaccines for herpes simplex virus (HSV) and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). He had many unusual and exciting experiences both in the military and private medical practice.
