Just as one’s DNA is made of chemical building blocks called nucleotides, just so our spiritual composition is made up of building blocks. And such blocks all should form part of the foundation of our faith, with Jesus being the cornerstone. Our entire lives should be built upon Christ, and everything else should flow from God. For a true believer to survive the storms of life, while also thriving and prospering, we need to be grounded in Christ. We need to make sure our foundation is rock solid. And we need to make sure all our building blocks are in place. Unless such a true foundation is in place, where we are settled in the complete, beautiful, infallible, incorruptible and untainted truth and ways of God, we then remain in danger of being swept away by the storms of deceptions, lies, manipulation, extortions, seductions and spiritual corruption. After all, we cannot build a house unless the foundation is properly laid and secured. Just so, unless the foundation of our faith is properly built and sealed by the Blood of the Lamb, how shall we truly know who God is, fathom His Kingdom or follow His will? For in His will is life, hope, and our strength.

Looking for a stronger faith? Strengthening your faith does not happen by accident. According to 2 Peter 1:1-8, it takes diligence to increase your knowledge of God's Word. No matter where you are in your Christian walk, you can and should build up your faith through a systematic study of the Scriptures. In this heftier sequel to Beyond Baptism, which still stands on its own, Kevin W. Rhodes walks readers through thirteen topics necessary to ground Christians in the faith and correct common misunderstandings. Building Blocks provides the framework needed to help you strengthen your faith.
Basics: Building Blocks of Christian Faith seeks to answer some of the basic questions of Christianity. It addresses God's existence, sin, the Fall, and holy living. Each of the 7 lessons is followed by study questions designed to encourage spiritual growth. Basics is an ideal resource for personal or small-group Bible study for high school and adult students. The companion Leader's Guide provides comprehensive suggested answers to the study questions. Also included are numerous articles and quotations from a variety of reliable sources including James Petigru Boyce, William G. T. Shedd, R. L. Dabney, Wayne Grudem, and The Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood.
The Bible is an epic masterpiece. There is a continuous flow to the Bible, and it does flow like a story. It is God’s story, told through numerous characters, events, adventures, trials, tribulations, and situations. There is nothing grander or more splendid than God’s story! This book is not a comprehensive study of the Bible, therefore, it is not a blow-by-blow account of every book and every story. Rather, it is a sweeping glance at what the Bible offers. We can only know the heart of God, who God truly is and understand His commandments, His teachings, His truths and values when we study and know the Word. The Bible is truly God’s Word and should shape our lives daily. If one reads the Bible as led by the Spirit, without a preconceived bias for finding errors or based on one’s education or understanding, one will find it to be a coherent, consistent, and relatively easy-to-understand book of God. It is the Truth, and so it is the light and lamp unto our feet and path. The Bible must be treated by disciples as all-sufficient and inerrant (without error) to lead us, guide us, teach us and show us the way and the will of God. The Word of God is real, alive, and powerful and the final authority on God’s will. As believers of God, we must know the Word, study it, love it, cherish it and abide by it for it is the source of eternal life, faith, salvation, freedom, spiritual food, growth, blessedness, purity, guidance, comfort, spiritual victory, assurance and of joy. May we know it to find our purpose and the meaning of life according to a great and awesome God.

The Christian faith has weathered numerous storms and attempts to change the principles to fit people's desires of the moment. However, the faith has remained constant because it was built on a basic set of doctrines that remain unchanged. Those who fail to understand these fundamental doctrines are susceptible to heresy and abuse. "Building Blocks of Faith" explains the basic doctrines of the faith in a simple, understandable manner. John Mark Caton writes as a pastor, not a seminary professor. An advanced degree or years of study are not required to appreciate what is explained on these pages. Dr, Caton provides a thorough explanation of each of the following doctrines: Bible God Jesus Christ Holy Spirit Salvation Church Second Coming of Jesus After reading this book, you will have a new appreciation of the Christian faith. You will also discover that good doctrine results in faithful actions and a stronger personal relationship with God.
The words “Let My people go” have echoed in my spirit for many years now, dating back to the early 2000s. The words date back to Israel’s bondage while staying in Exodus. God chose Moses to speak to the Pharaoh to let His people go to worship Him. The children of God are of course not living under the rule of a Pharaoh, but over the years I was made to understand there are many spiritual pharaohs, Sadducees and Pharisees in churches who are holding God’s children in bondage. They do so by spinning their web of lies, enslaving instead of empowering. They rule and lord, instead of making true disciples who follow not them but only Jesus. The subtitle to this book is ‘Exodus out of Religious Entrapment’. As explored in many of my other books, especially in the Perilous Times series, we follow not a religion, but a faith. And such faith is based on a relationship with a living and loving God. God is calling us to come out of religion, meaning the man-made rules, programmes, ideas, traditions and agendas as formulated by man. Religion ultimately enslaves and dethrones, while a relationship with God empowers and enthrones, meaning we learn to be true children of God. The religion we know as Christianity, or more correctly Churchianity, has sadly morphed into a pseudo-religion of new-age teachings saturated with occult and selfish desires and ambitions. Apostasy lurks around every corner and in the shadows of the pulpit. When we fall into the pitfalls of religion we then choose a path of entrapment and slavery. It is time to come out of such enslavement and into the glorious liberty of Jesus. Yes, it is time to let God’s people to go so they may worship Him in Spirit and Truth!
God wants us to be free. Let us proclaim this truth, God wants us free! He wants us to be free from sickness, sorrow, heartache, anguish, pain, and strife. He wants us to be free from being enslaved, yoked, and burdened. For this reason, Jesus said in Matthew 11 that His yoke and burden are light. In this world, we will have trouble, and we are not immune to heartache, pain or sorrow, but we can be free from its crippling effect on our spirit, soul and body. In Christ is our liberty. In Christ is our hope, for He is the eternal shining light and the joy to sustain us. Christ has indeed set us free so that we can also cry as people of all races and ethnic groups, as Jews and Gentiles, that we are free at last, for this is the reality and the truth of John 3:16. Jesus died on the cross so that anyone who believes in Him may be saved and be free at last! Free from death, misery, darkness, despair, lies, the works of the flesh and free from worry. Glory to God, in Christ we are free at last! And for those who are free in Christ, they must declare such freedom so that freedom may ring on every mountain and hill and in every valley, city, and town! We are no longer ‘owned’ by the world, by the devil, by sin or our past. We are free at last! In God’s freedom, we shall soar! As eagles enjoy the freedom of the skies, so we are called to enjoy God’s freedom paid for by the Blood of the Lamb.
How we need the wisdom of the Lord once again in our churches and for the wisdom of the Lord to rest upon the lips of His servants! It says in “Job 28:28 But to man He said, Behold, the reverential and worshipful fear of the Lord—that is Wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.” These days man seeks after his own wisdom, and relies upon his own intellectual faculty to determine the Truth of God. Godly wisdom comes by fearing the Lord, obeying Him, seeking Him and walking in His Spirit. Such wisdom speaks not of foolishness, ignorance or deception as we seen so often in Churches, but it speaks of God’s will, His plan, His Kingdom, His Truth and His Way. God is all-wise, infinitely wise. God’s wisdom is also vastly superior to human wisdom and He remains the source of wisdom. Wisdom is not just knowledge, but “know how.” It enables us how the follow God’s will and to know how to move in His Spirit at all times. Thus, we don’t just need knowledge, but we need God’s wisdom to conduct our lives to His honour all day!
