Hi! I’m Kaliyah Richardson and I am six years old. I live with my daddy, mommy, little brother, Warren and our dog, Louie. When I grow up, I want to be a singer, salon owner, and a pediatrician. That sounds like a lot but I can handle it!
Kaliyah takes her role as older sister very seriously because she loves her younger sister, Jazzy, more than anything in the world. Now that Jazzy is about to start school, Kaliyah realizes it is time to teach her about personal safety. As Kaliyah instructs her sister what to do if a stranger asks her to pet his puppy, offers her a free backpack, tries to give her candy or a ride, or follows her in the park, she helps empower Jazzy to not only recognize the potential dangers, but also how to protect herself from people she does not know. Kaliyah’s Lesson shares an important message for children about how to stay safe and protect themselves from strangers.
Her heart was thudding in her chest. She was afraid it rocked so hard acand loud that it would betray her hiding spot. She was crouched behind the back of the fountain, out of sight, she hoped, from the snarling, raging giant that stormed the courtyard. She could even feel the massive stones of the wall she was wedged against jolt and shift with each impact of her father's fist or foot. The sounds were the worst. They always were—the screams, the noise of breaking, tearing flesh. "Amah! Amah!" the voiceless words repeated in her mind. "Amah!" When the earth was new, young Lelah, part human and a granddaughter of the chief Watcher Samjaza, struggles with prejudice and hatred, life, love, and forgiveness. Her life and the lives of her loved ones become entwined with unlikely deliverers. Her mother is delivered from slavery and she from something far worse. Enter the Antediluvian world where "the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful, and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose," the life spans are ten times those of modern times, great beasts roam the earth, and where, as in every time, battles are not merely physical, but spiritual as well. Will Lelah learn to turn her hatred over to the only One who can forgive her? Find out in Reign of the Watchers.
Sorry to whoever wrote the scripts for the fairytales I grew up watching in movies as a kid, but bro, you got it all wrong. Fabulous, floor-length gowns and fairy godmothers don’t appear out of nowhere, promising to fix your problems when you’re at your lowest, crying on a bench in a torn dress. Random animals have never cleaned anything I’ve ever owned, and though I would bend over backward to have a pet dragon that breathes fire, the best I can hope for is a small bearded dragon. Knights in shining armor can be real, but they don’t just appear out of nowhere, either. They don’t ride in on a white horse, reaching a gloved hand down so they can whisk you away into the sunset. They drive up on Harleys, hand you a helmet, tell you to hold on tight, and f*ck your world up in the best way possible. Too bad I had to go through a certified villain before I learned this… before I finally woke up to reality. BusyMom.net "Since this is my third child, I've been through my share of baby name books, about 2 a pregnancy. This one I found as my favorite, not just the first few chapters but the list of names are wonderful and broken not just into boy and girl categories but lists of popular names by country, twin names and hordes of other lists. You'll be amazed, as I was." snowboundintheyukon.blogspot.com "If you're going to choose one baby name book and get the most bang for your buck, this is a good one to go with. It's more complete and helpful than any other single book I've seen out there and short of turning it into an OED-style multi-volume set, I'm not sure there's much more the author Lesley Bolton could pack in." daringyoungmom.com "The Complete Book of Baby Names is so fun too. It isn't just a list of names - it is like a course in baby-naming! Time. Space. Just illusions in a multiverse. Trevor frequently wakes up from weird abduction dreams, but when the UFO he’s dreaming he’s in is actually shot down by the military, he learns that he’s been an abductee since childhood and that government agencies will not tolerate crash survivors or escapees from deep underground bases. At the heart of the story is the relationship between Trevor and a beautiful young woman about whom he doesn’t know very much and who may be a government-agency operative. Trevor learns that there are numerous hostile alien races who are committed to preventing Earth’s Ascension to membership in the galactic community. The central characters, a group of friends who share an interest in UFOs, unexpectedly learn that the activation of transhuman abilities embedded in their DNA is linked to the approach of the Ascension.

In a definitive and “excellent homage to a star who left this planet too soon” (Questlove), the life, career, tragic death, and evolution of Aaliyah into a music legend are explored—now updated with new material featuring in-depth research and exclusive interviews. By twenty-two years old, Aaliyah had already accomplished a staggering amount: hit records, acclaimed acting roles, and fame that was just about to cross over into superstardom. Like her song, she was already “more than a woman” but her shocking death in a plane crash prevented her from fully growing into one. Now, two decades later, the full story of Aaliyah’s life and cultural impact is finally and lovingly revealed. Baby Girl features never-before-told stories, including studio anecdotes, personal tales, and eyewitness accounts on the events leading up to her untimely passing. Her enduring influence on today’s artists—such as Rihanna, Drake, Normani, and many more—is also celebrated, providing Aaliyah’s discography a cultural critique that is long overdue. “There’s no better way to pay your respect to R&B’s true angel than to lose yourself in the pages” (Kim Osorio, journalist and author of Straight from the Source) of this “dazzling biography” (Publishers Weekly) that is as unforgettable as its subject. This book was written without the participation of Aaliyah’s family/estate.
