Bodh Gaya is a very famous religious site of Buddhist pilgrims as it is said to be the place where Gautam Buddha attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree. This sacred tree is located inside the Mahabodhi Temple Complex which comes under the Gaya district of Bihar in India. In 2002 this temple complex was included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. This book is a virtual tour of the Mahabodhi Temple Complex, Bodh Gaya, Bihar in India. Through a series of pictures, the author has tried to showcase the architecture, culture, environment, and the sentiments of the place and the people associated to it. This photo book also includes a special section for the Vishnupad temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu which is also located in the Gaya district. The construction date of the original structure is not known but is said to have been visited by Lord Ram & Sita, today’s structure was built by Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar, the queen of Indore.
