With that in mind how then should we live? What does God require of us? Micah 6: 8 condenses the Ten Commandments down to just three points telling us we must do justice, love mercy and walk humbly with God. In the Gospel of Matthew Jesus Christ further condenses these three points to just two. Love God and Love your neighbor. The whole of the law and the prophets hang on just these two commandments, therefore if you are living these two commandments you fulfil the whole of the law. How many Christians can say they live out these two commandments? If they did they would never refuse to forgive anyone, they would never seek vengence and they would never be guilty of treating people differently. However when push comes to shove many people seem to say one thing while doing another. Surely the proof of a persons forgiveness is that they don't treat people differently.
