A family has suffered through the Katrina Storm and is waiting for rescue on top of an old pine shack, surrounded by deep flood waters. The unstable shack gives way, and the family falls into the deep New Orleans flood waters, where they are rescued by mermaids and taken into a safe submarine. From that point they have the choice of going back to their own world on land, or to join the advanced, exciting world of mermaids, mermen, and merchildren.
