Growing up, all author Heidi McLain wanted to be was a Mom. She attended graduate school and became a chiropractor and clinical nutritionist more than 20 years ago, but much prefers the title of "Mom" over "doctor." Known for her saying, 'Thank God for God, ' Heidi serves Him in what she describes as her most profound and rewarding calling yet: giving and devoting her time and energy to being a foster parent. Having cared for hundreds of children (including over 80 babies!) over the past 10 years, Heidi's family has helped many of them to experience God's love. Being given nicknames like "Wonder Woman" and "the Baby Whisperer," Heidi delights in being part of the foster care community and sharing her experiences, triumphs and defeats with others, hoping to bring them encouragement and inspiration. Heidi has four children: Amanda, Christopher, Bradley and Anna, and lives with her family in San Diego, California.
