If happiness had a flavor, could you describe it? If love had a price that you could afford to pay, would you? Michelle is back, and in this mind-blowing sequel to Baby Momma 2, she is by no means taking her losses lightly. She's been broken down, restored, and at the hands of Honey, practically demolished. The woman that has emerged is hell bent on revenge, until an unexpected twist of destiny turns her world completely inside out. Honey is preoccupied with her re-emergence into the world, embracing her new life as the "Queen of Miami." The only thing that might destroy her faster than Michelle's rage is her new Mafia family. She's slowly learning that all that glitters comes with hands attached to dimmer switches—and right now they're itching to hit the off button. When the only options are bad and worse, Honey does the unthinkable and reaches into her past for a favor that might end up costing her more than the Family can even afford to pay.
The book is a detailed non-fictional about me being the third baby momma for my baby daddy. It entails a great deal of our fights, family drama, sex life, and his absence of being a father. The book paints a clear picture of a man who would rather pay whores (male and female) for sex, buy expensive clothes, take care of other women's children as long as they sleep with him before he takes care of the children he fathered. It shows how with or without his help, I'm still able to do a decent job at raising my child because I chose not to be disrespected for money.

Now they both must pull together before it’s too late; to either bow at Dragon Eddie’s feet, or join sides to take him down and collect their dues. What the both of them seem to forget is that this is not Eddie’s first pistol showdown at dawn, and neither is it the first time that someone has threatened to take away what is most precious to him. When the smoke clears, it’s hard to tell who’s still standing in this old school versus new school battle. If it is the more experienced man who has seen and done all there is to see and do, who wins. If it’s the newcomer who is full of vigor and short of mercy, who wins. It would be nothing short of a pity and a shame if lovesick Cara Mia is caught in the middle and meets an early fate, all in the name of love and peace. That’s what you get when you’re obsessed with a savage and the sworn enemy of your own father. You’re introduced to more troubles than you can bear, and you’re facing a loaded barrel held in the hand of your own father.

Written by the hugely respected linguist, Geneva Smitherman, this book presents a definitive statement on African American English. Enriched by her evocative and inimitable prose style, the study presents an overview of past debates on the speech of African Americans, as well as providing a vision for the future. Featuring cartoons which demonstrate the relationship between language and race, as well as common perceptions of African American Language, she explores its contribution to mainstream American English and includes a summary of expressions as a suggested linguistic core of AAL. As global manifestations of Black Language increase, she argues that, through education, we must broaden our conception of AAL and its speakers, and further examine the implications of gender, age and class on AAL. Perhaps most of all we must appreciate the ‘artistic and linguistic genius’ of AAL, presented in this book through rap and Hip Hop lyrics and the explorations of rhyme and rhetoric in the Black speech community. Word from the Mother is an essential read for students of African American English, language, culture and sociolinguistics, as well as the general reader interested in the worldwide ‘crossover’ of black popular culture.
