A poetic journey of love in the face of enforced separation. A collection of love poetry, and verse reflecting the angst felt when two are destined to be one, then forced to live half-lives constantly traversing the ocean. A roller coaster ride of emotional highs and lows.
A collection of 40 marriage proposal poems.A poetic and romantic way to propose or re-propose before vow renewal.
Award-winning Arab Australian poet Omar Sakr presents a pulsating collection of poetry that interrogates the bonds and borders of family, faith, queerness, and nationality. Visceral and energetic, Sakr’s poetry confronts the complicated notion of “belonging” when one’s family, culture, and country are at odds with one’s personal identity. Braiding together sexuality and divinity, conflict and redemption, The Lost Arabs is a fierce, urgent collection from a distinct new voice.

"A Poetic Engagement" is the long awaited sequel to "A Poetic Proposal", a collection of love poetry and verse. An eclectic compendium of poems dedicated to the power and purity of eternal love for that one special woman. When separation and long distance are involved this makes for a special blend of joy and happiness contrapuntal with angst and desolation. These poems reflect the gamut of emotions that are experienced iin this situation. Excerpt: Cacophony Joined in unison, Bodies as one, Gently rocking Our pleasure begun. Deep inside, Your heavenly grace, That look of ecstasy, Upon your face. As passion rises, Moans escape lips, Bucking and thrusting, Your gyrating hips. Hair flying, The arch of your back, My hands on your breasts, Of ardour no lack. A white hot fire, Burns in my loins, As I start to spasm, My whole body doth rejoice. A perfect connection, Of us two, Alone in the universe, Just me and you. And then release, Joyous and profound, A cacophonous explosion, Love knows no bound. Then tender moments, Wrapped in each other, There could be no more, Perfect lover.
The history of parliament in the UK has a consistent theme: the refusal to accept any binding contract with the people. This unacceptable status quo goes for Holyrood as much as for Westminster. The time has come for people to challenge the power of the ruling class. We want to see the Scottish Parliament become an institution that it has so far failed to be: an institution committed to the sovereignty of the people. We want the people of Scotland to lead the rest of the UK by example, and ensure that the actions of a government are bound by shared political and ethical values. And we propose the first step: a modest proposal, for the agreement of the people. Are you with us?
