Crippled by deformed hips as a child, Mark Richard was told he would spend his adult life in a wheelchair. The son of an unpredictable, violent father and a mother who sought inner peace through scripture, Richard spent his bedridden childhood in the company of books. As a young man, he set out to experience as much of the world as possible before his hips failed him. He spent years doing odd jobs and getting into trouble, grappling throughout with his faith and his calling, before winning a national fiction contest and launching an extraordinary writing career. In this irresistible blend of history, travelogue, and personal reflection, Richard draws a remarkable portrait of a writer’s struggle with his faith, the evolution of his art, and the recognition of one’s singularity in the face of painful disability.
When everything we’re going through--pain, loss, tragedy, grief--suggests that God can’t help us or doesn’t care, it seems unwise to place our confidence in Him. But nothing could be farther from the truth. This discussion guide to Trusting God by Navigator author Jerry Bridges features discussion questions that study what the Bible has to say about God's sovereignty, His mercy, and His love. • For individual or small-group discussion
To love God with an undivided heart is to serve Him with an undistracted life. Prayer releases the purpose of God. It brings into focus the practice of God and aligns us with His divine providence. From this little book on prayer, we will discover that our trajectory to the heavens is ultimately determined by orientation to the ground.

Prayer is a communication between God and man, this means that just when you meet together in a room praying, the room turns from being a normal place to being a House for God. God enthrones as King of the meeting. Hallelujah. Gods desire is to head His house no matter how small you see it. Dont look down on the ministry you are doing whether in the church or at home or elsewhere. Wherever you meet to call on the name of the Lord is your house of prayer. You can look through church history till today and it will amaze you that most ministries started with two or three people, whether family members or co-workers or just friends. This is because they met as just friends or family but with God as the owner of the house.
Prayers for almost every life circumstance. Includes presentation page.
Shifting Nations Through Houses of Prayer emphasizes that the main thing is not houses of prayer, or shifting cities or nations. It's not even worship or prayer. The main thing is the Lord Himself. It's only His Presence that can change a city or nation in lasting ways. This book seeks to help prepare a dwelling place for Him in your city and nation - and in our hearts. WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING: "There is simply no book like this one, written by Rick and Patricia Ridings, on how to shake a nation through 24-hours-a-day prayer." Dr. Cindy Jacobs, Generals International, USA "This is a powerful book for every believer to read, especially those wanting to begin a ministry. I highly recommend reading this book." Heidi G Baker, PhD, Iris Global, Mozambique "This book is a much-needed equipping tool for today's global prayer movement." James W Goll, God Encounters Ministries, USA "I encourage you to read and meditate on this book which I believe will minister deeply across cultures and generations--it is life changing!" Mike Bickle, International House of Prayer, Kansas City
Jesus taught on prayer. When He did, three times in three verses we find the phrase "When you pray..." (Matthew 6: 5, 6, 7, emphasis added). After all He would do for them, it was inconceivable that they would not even talk to Him in prayer after He had gone. It is astonishing that the church in much of the world does not talk regularly. Luther said that prayer is "the real calling of all Christians." Andrew Murray says that prayer is the "highest part of the work entrusted to us, the root and strength of all other work."
