Davis Stockton (ca. 1686-1760) was perhaps born in England, Ireland, or New York. He and his wife, Sarah, were probably married in Chesterfield Township, New Jersey, where their children are belived to have been born. They had at least seven children, ca. 1708- ca. 1724. The family migrated to Pennsylvania, then Virginia. Davis and Sarah Stockton are probably buried near their home on Ivy Creek, in Ablermarle County, Virginia. Descendants listed lived in Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, and elsewhere.
Richard Finn was born ca. 1750/1755. He lived in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. Colman Finn (1823-1916), grandson of Richard, was born in Adair County, Kentucky and married (1) Mary P. Rogers and later (2) Martha Price Wallace. Ten generationso of the descendants and relatives of Colman are traced, living in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Tennessee, Arizona and elsewhere.
