Five years later, Currency is more in love with Ree than ever. After five years, your body does things that you can’t control, and Ree is currently feeling the aftereffects of pushing out Syn’s son. Working around the type of women that Currency works around does not do anything to help Ree’s insecurities, so she goes out and does the one thing that Syn forbids. Will Syn forgive her, or will Ree’s defiance make Currency commit a divorceable crime? Ree is having a great time raising KG until Zaviana decided that she wants to be a mother. Zaviana and an accomplice, close to the Lees, hatch a plan to get KG from her parents. That plan could leave them both either dead or in jail. Zaviana goes through great lengths to get her daughter back, but will it be enough? Jerrod is living the dream, playing for the NBA, taking care of his two girlfriends and two beautiful children, but he still can’t seem to wrap his mind around his first love being with another man. Jerrod is willing to let everything go if given the opportunity to be with his first love again. But when the opportunity arises, will he take it, or will he realize that his soulmate has been right under his roof the whole time?
Who knew so many secrets could come out in just one dinner? Adoree feels played after finding out that Syn’s significant other is not who she thought it was. Will Adoree be able to look past this misunderstanding and continue to be his friend, or will she drop their friendship altogether? Back at Jerrod’s college, he is going through something very unnatural. He calls on the two people that he hates the most to handle his problem, and promises them both the one thing he knows they both want. Will Jerrod’s plan comes together perfectly, or will the plan fail, and he loses everything? Currency is still trying to deal with Zaviana and her issues while trying to maintain his friendship with Adoree and keep his feelings at bay, but it becomes insanely hard for him. Zaviana goes to the extreme once she realizes that she is losing Currency. Will Zaviana’s plan work, or will it be the last straw for Currency? In this final installment of You Ain’t Gotta Be Perfect, everybody seems to be plotting and planning, but who’s plan is going to get them what they want? Will any plan be executed properly?

Though qualitative research methods shape scholarship around the globe, and institutions worldwide offer qualitative coursework, there is very little explicit discussion on how to effectively teach qualitative research. Instead, a standard approach is for instructors to gain in-depth expertise in qualitative methodologies, with little or no pedagogical training. The effect is a continuous and nearly exclusive emphasis on content knowledge that undermines the preparation of novice researchers as both teachers and learners. This book works to fill that gap by offering perspectives, strategies, and applications from instructor and student perspectives, based on a semester-long class emphasizing social justice in qualitative research. This edited volume offers sections on pedagogical strategies, students’ responses to and applications of those concepts, and then instructor reflections. The goal is to offer an important starting point for explicit discussions on how qualitative research might be taught and learned, in addition to how it might be thoughtfully and ethically conducted. Contributors are: Erica T. Campbell, Sun Young Gu, Kelsey H. Guy, Aimee J. Hackney, April M. Jones, Alison N. Kearley, Caran Kennedy, Amon Neely-Cowan, Allyson Pitzel, Diana Quito, Erin E. Rich, Stephanie Anne Shelton, Ashley Salter Virgin and Venus Trevae Watson.
“With the immortality of ink, true love can never fade.” With his shop in ruins and his sanity hanging on by a single thread, Shacago Stanfield has the weight of the world on his shoulders with no hope of a better day in sight. As the new supplier for all of Brooklyn, his dreams of becoming the ink god of Brooklyn comes to a halt. Or so he thinks. With a new partnership intact that mixes his passion of turning art to ink, Shacago is forced to teeter between doing what he loves for money and doing what he hates, in order to maintain. As if that wasn’t enough, he still has to deal with the sudden loss of Parai, the girl with the pretty smile and beautiful heart that made him believe in love again. While the feelings they shared were genuine, Shacago finds out that their love story might be one for the history books for all the wrong reasons. Once loved for her beauty and body art, Rosé finds herself hated for being the sister of an alleged murderer. Rosé’s attempts to distance herself from Elijah are futile due to his knowledge of a very important piece of information: the real reason she fled New York five years ago. Refusing to cut Shacago deeper, Rosé is forced to align herself with his enemy, stabbing him in the back and leaving her to wonder if their relationship will be able to ever recover from such a lie. Despite her world spinning out of control, she feels safe having Marquise in her corner and she's convinced that they’ll live happily ever after until a surprise contender steps into the ring. In the midst of Shacago and Rosé’s problems is Xavier, the only one of the trio that appears to be thriving. After killing Quan and taking his seat at the table, Xavier is high on cloud nine until he finds out that Shacago is at the head of it. Feeling constantly tossed aside by his employer and snubbed by his brother, Xavier begins to make moves on Shacago’s legacy, vowing not to stop until he's the god of the streets. The only thing missing from his plan is an equally ruthless goddess to rule by his side. Until he meets Luscious. A soft spoken, smooth talking, tatted goddess with a vendetta, Luscious becomes the rock Xavier needs. But what he doesn’t know is that the woman who has became his favorite treat can easily become his poison. With secrets covered in lies, treachery disguised as loyalty, and emotional ties severed when physical bonds are created, will Shacago come out on top? Or will the inked god lose his crown?
