It includes information on striped bass classification, physical characteristics, geographic distribution, habitat, biology (spawning, growth, survival, physiology, movements, nutrition, behaviour), population sizes & trends in designated areas (southern Gulf of St. Lawrence, Bay of Fundy tributaries, St. Lawrence Estuary, and the Shubenacadie, Annapolis, & Saint John rivers), the factors & threats limiting the designated striped bass populations, the special significance of the species, and existing protection or other status of the species.
